Giving Thanks
28 NovToday in the United States is a day set aside as a day to give thanks and be with family and friends. As I firmly believe you should be thankful everyday, I prefer to take Thanksgiving as a time spent with family. However, I wanted to take a few minutes to make a list of some of the many things I am thankful for-

NerdLush Halloween Extravaganza!
21 SepWell, it’s been a few months since our last shindig and Halloween is one of our favorite times of year… put those two bits together and BOOM! you have NerdLush Halloween Extravaganza!
OCTOBER 19th!!! 8PM!!!
We’ll be doing the costumed karaoke thing. Again. I think it’s our thing… who cares, though- it’s a lot of fun.
We’ll also be celebrating the birthday of one of the crew (weird how this seems to keep happening)- Dee2.
We’ll have a costume contest, a karaoke contest, and snackies! Probably a cake or something too… it’s what we do!
The venue is a lot of fun and has free parking! No cover! But drinks and food at the venue are on YOU!

Dee2 here, whispering my little confession:
I was bored one day and hit up my Netflix to find something new to watch to pass some time as I multi-tasked. I have heard of this show, but never taken the time to watch it, until two months ago. I do love vampire stories & supernatural storylines, so I clicked on Vampire Diaries and started my addictive journey into Mystic Falls, Virginia. Home to vampires, werewolves, hybrids, witches and other supernatural beings. As with almost every show on CW, this one does not fail to provide us with a very good-looking cast. Continue reading
