2016 brings a lot of Nerd fun with it…

3 Jan

It’s a new year and time to look back on the last year and determine how to make this one even better. And with all of the exciting films and TV shows coming soon, 2016 is looking pretty awesome. Or it could be a miserable failure.

It’s time to get serious… what are you thinking about Sleepy Hollow’s latest season???

19 Dec

I choose to ignore the second season of Sleepy Hollow (henceforth referred to as “the-season-that-shall-not-be-remembered”) because it was horrid. It felt as though the writers were so excited to be picked up that they decided to cram five years of stories in oce season. And nothing made sense. Continue reading

How do we survive the loss of a character? It hurts so bad!

30 Mar

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Tyler Hoechlin- “Derek” on MTV’s Teen Wolf– would be leaving the show. Now, it makes sense as his character was pushed out of a central role in the last season and half because there are a ton of teens on the show (and the actor reportedly wants freedom to do more movies) but… Derek is one of the reasons I watch the show.

Without him, will I continue to watch? Continue reading

Welcome to the future! 2015 is here to stay!

1 Jan

Today, as we begin another shiny new year, we say goodbye to 2014. 2014 was a good year for NerdLush- we (I) had the opportunity to speak on panels at a few conventions; NerdLush grew with great guest posters (two of which are now official crew members!- Charity and Marc); and a headquarters move. Here is the flipagram video I made on NYE that shows many of the adventures I had with various crew…  Continue reading

Fall TV 2014, week 2… what do we think so far?

2 Oct

Here we are middle halfway through the second week of major network TV… how are you holding up? Personally, I’ve gotten back in the swing of two returning shows. And picked up two new ones. Can’t wait til next week and the Flash and Arrow premieres!

What’s new? Continue reading

Fall Season Premiere Jamboree!

24 Sep

Stewart here, and be ready for spoilers on the horizon…

The fall season of TV starts once again, and Monday and Tuesday brought several nerd-related shows back on the air, along with a possible new addition to the ranks. Well, if to start easing myself into another season of minicaps for Arrow (and that’s still two weeks away), let’s talk about these NerdLush favorites, starting with the new kid in town. Popped the Paley Fest Cherry- Sleepy Hollow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. take the stage

28 Mar

The Paley Fest is an amazing experience for fans to interact with their favorite shows. The 2014 festival is underway and NerdLush made it over for two of our favorite freshman shows- FOX’s Sleepy Hollow and ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The bonus for us is that both shows have recently had posts here because they quickly became favorites this year.

The Paley Fest has been growing over the last several years- similar to how SDCC has grown immensely over the last few years- and this year moved to a new home at the Dolby Theatre. This is the home of the Academy Awards- and it looks MUCH larger on TV then it is in person. But it is a beautiful theatre and adds opportunity to increase the size of the audience. Continue reading

Guilty Pleasures- Sleepy Hollow

12 Mar

Every year there is at least one TV show that squeezes it’s way into my viewing schedule and steals my heart. In the 2012-2013 season it was Arrow. After seeing the pilot- which I loved- it was clear that the show could go either way. It could suck, burning and dying in an insane death, or it could be awesome. And it was AWESOME. So in the fall of 2013, Fox introduced a show that should’ve died after the second or third episode… but it didn’t.

Stewart here…

Now that most of the new shows on television are going off on vacation until next year, I thought I’d spend some time talking about some of the new shows currently in my TV viewing schedule, and some opinions along with it: Continue reading
