So it’s that time of year where we must reflect on the new fall television series and determine which ones are worth watching. I, personally, have not watched very many new ones- and certainly not for more than one or two episodes- so I am very interested to hear opinions.

Look, if you haven’t seen Thor: the Dark World yet, you really need to. I mean, if you like superhero movies. I won’t spoil you with any details here- but the gist of my review is that if you like this sort of thing, you should go see it.
Sigh.
I love the BBC.
But I also hate them.

Last year, I published my rules for cosplaying via a post for Action Flick Chick. Since the basic rules became known, I’ve been thinking about additions. It is that day of days… the one where scares and candy are all around us… it is a beautiful day. I’m spending it at work. Which… is less fun how I would hope to spend the day. And how about you, my lovelies? Who is getting (or is) dressed up? Who is going to a party or trick or treating? Anyone hitting a haunted house?
Sadly, this holiday season has gotten away from me… I’ve done no haunted houses. And only just started watching horror films the other night. Sigh.
Last night I went with a friend to see a screening of the new Rachel McAdams movie, About Time (in theaters on November 8th). It was not what I expected. It was so much more. I honestly loved it. I’m not saying it was oscar caliber or anything- it’s rom com inside a dramedy; but it’s sweet and touching and funny and heartfelt. I loved it.

The other day was our NerdLush Halloween Extravanganza. The evening ended at midnight as I turned into a pumpkin who had to be up at 6am for classes (on a Sunday). Of course, my plan for getting a few hours of sleep was derailed by the Epic Dance Party © that happened in the street from 1 to 2am (that’d be when the cops I called came to break it up and turn off the horrific club beat “music” they’d been blasting into the night). Today’s the day.
At 8pm tonight, NerdLush, and friends, will gather at Soop Sok Karaoke in Los Angeles for a night of silly ridiculous fun. With costumes. And karaoke. And PRIZES!
We will celebrate the birthday of my bestie and one of NerdLush’s own- DeeDee! (Happy Birthday Lady!!! Love You!!!!)
We will sing and laugh and make merry.
