Have you ever watched the deleted scenes on a DVD and scene your favorite characters having a conversation in a dance club? Awkward! It’s nothing but the dialogue fighting to be heard over the shuffling feet of extras pretending to look sexy while dancing with no music.
It should be pointed out that there is an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer were there is no background music- when Joyce dies- but it’s still gone through post production and had those awkward none relevant sounds removed so as not to pull focus from the rest of the emotionally driven episode. James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy has spawned a huge following- just this weekend it officially became the highest grossing film of the summer in the US- and at least a tiny part of that has to be attributed to the amazingly fun soundtrack, the Awesome Mix Vol. 1. We’re just days away from Christmas and the New Year. Hanukkah and Thanksgiving are already passed- and joyous they were! And Kwanzaa is just around the corner as well.

If you’re not aware of who Marian Call is, she’s a wonderfully talented singer/songwriter residing in Juneau, Alaska. Her songs are about making a home in Alaska, Science Fiction and living life as a geek and last year she launched a Kickstarter campaign in an attempt to tour Europe, within 3 hours the target of $11,111 was met and by the end of the campaign a total of $63,301 was raised and Marian toured Europe, produced a Live in Europe album and recently released this epic video shot on location at the Space Expo in Noordwijk, Netherlands.
