Television Graveyard- plot 1, PREY
14 SepI have, in my collection of DVDs, a large number of old, short-lived, or maybe little remembered series. I might throw Firefly into this group, but if you call yourself a geek or a nerd, you ought to be familiar with that one. So I’m thinking that from time to time it might be fun to discuss one of these dearly departed television series. Not recaps, per se… just a wee post about them.

The Great Trek Debate, chapter 1- Captain
2 SepI was raised, as loyal readers know, on classic Star Trek. So when a new series starts, you better believe I’m there watching. Of course, there hasn’t been a new one for a bit but series come out on Hulu and Netflix, as well as HD DVD releases all the time, so it’s a perfect time to catch up!

Expendables 3: Ladies’ Night
31 AugLet me just make a disclaimer that I don’t think I’ve actually sat through all of the first Expendables Movie (although I have it in bluray on my shelf…) nor have I seen it’s sequel. But I, being a fan of the action genre as a whole, really really wish there was a female version of this movie.

21 AugI just got back from the Hipsterhood Webseries launch BBQ in Silverlake and my world just got shattered…. I came in second place at the hipster contest.
Beat the heat?
19 AugFor some unknown reason I opted to spend last week in central California. Which is basically a desert- with farming. But reaches temps over 100* all summer. I ran out of the LA because it was in the high 80s/low 90s and basically unlivable. So I ran home… to 109*. I am an idiot. Continue reading
