Once again, I’m late to the party. Sometimes it really sucks to be a poor grad student with no TV, but then I remember NetFlix and Hulu and that everything I want to see will eventually be available there. Last year I finally checked out Eureka and Primeval (and it’s spinoff). So this year, during my recent enforced rest due to injury, I finally started watching Syfy’s Haven.

I would really like to do more crazy things in the kitchen. I tend to experiment, but only with very basic ingredients and simple basic recipes. In an effort to be more creative this year, I have begun searching for random fun and nerdy ideas. Now to get together with some friends and actually make some of these!

Welcome to the sixth season of Smallville minicaps! So, last season brought a lot of high and lows for recent high school graduate Clark Kent. Besides getting a shiny new kryptonian designed fortress in the arctic, Clark has gone off to college. But all that gets derailed by many cataclysmic events, like the death of his adopted father, Jonathan, and the end of his relationship with Lana, who ends up shacking up with Lex. Throughout this season has also been the threat of Zod, a kryptonian criminal returning from the Phantom Zone to conquer Earth. Well, Zod has needed a vessel to host him, and he finds a perfect one in Lex. Clark fails to keep Zod from possessing Lex, and from being banished to the Phantom Zone. With Metropolis in full chaos and Zod/Lex with no none to stop him, what happens now? Continue reading

Eliz to the beth just posted that someone should write an end of year something and I said that I could do it while drunk and SHE said DO IT so here I am after a litre of cider, some cake vodka shots, and half a bottle of expired sangria. I haven’t had much alcohol since starting my ketogenic diet, so I have like zero tolerance now. Which is pretty sad but cost effective, I guess.

OK, confession time… It’s the end of the year and I’m on vacation (so are the rest of the NerdLush crew, apparently) and I have no posts lined up. So… the most recent posts have been thought up about an hour before they are scheduled to run. But… that doesn’t mean I don’t mean what they say! Lots of good stuff, I think. I have vacation brain and would spend the entire day in my Cookie Monster footie pjs if I could.
