OTP – or One True Pairing – is a fandom term used to denote pairings fans believe are the best couples. This occurs throughout fandom mediums – television shows, books, movies…even “real life people”. In most fandoms, there are fanfics that are written by the fans in order to tell a story, the way they see fit. To be honest, some of the fics are quite well-written with compelling stories. Others… not so much (off-topic, but recently there was an announcement of a “One Direction” fanfic that was being published… excerpts of the book were released as well… it was painful drivel). But these fics also allow for fans to have their OTP as they see fit… something that may go against what the writers of a show or the author of a book series may want (for now anyway). SMALLVILLE Minicaps / Season 7, Eps. 9-12

The Smallville season 7 minicaps could go a while without hearing Jor-El warn it about “consequences”, thank you.
Stewart here…
Clark had to deal with family trouble last time as mean zenophobic uncle Zor-El is replicated and almost lays waste to Earth. Zor-El’s destroyed, but not before Kara is dumped in Detroit somehow with no memory and Jor-El tells Clark there will be consequences for his actions bringing Zor-El and his mom, Lara, back briefly. Meanwhile, Lois is starting a relationship with Daily Planet editor Grant Gabriel, who is also known to Lex as his supposedly dead brother Julian Luthor! The Luthors have their own trouble, thanks to Lana trying to destroy Lex behind Clark and Chloe’s back. But wait, what happened to Clark after that flash of light and warning from Jor-El? Continue reading

The Smallville season 7 minicaps is still trying to wrap its head around Lana being cloned and the clone being blown to pieces. Really, that plot twist just came out of NOWHERE.
Stewart here…
Everyone’s busy, busy, busy these days. Clark’s helping his cousin Kara adjust to life on Earth, Chloe’s feeling let out because the new Daily Planet editor Grant Gabriel has taken a shine to Lois, and Lex is busy working on some big anti-alien defense, which I’m sure, there’s some creepy ulterior motive in that. Then there’s Lana, who’s adjusting to life back in Smallville after that whole “faking her death with a cloned body Lex made, then blaming Lex for it” thing (never gets easier to write that) by setting up a group to help meteor freaks. She also is creepily monitoring Lex’s mansion and responsible for another thing we’re going to get to right about…now… Continue reading

At the end of a rocky last season, things were looking up for Clark. Lana knew his secret and was all cool with it, Chloe was coming to terms with her meteor powers and her relationship with Jimmy, and the Phantom Zone escapees were all but found. But we ended this season on everything going straight into the toilet. Lana gets in a car explosion, Lex is arrested for her murder, Chloe saves a fatally injured Lois at the cost of her ending up near dead, and the last Phantom takes the form of Clark. Did I mention almost all of this happens at the local dam, which is coming apart? Let’s see how everyone gets out of this mess… Continue reading
SMALLVILLE Minicaps / Season 6, Eps. 21-22 and Season Six Highlights
10 FebStewart here…
With Clark dealing with the last of the escapees from the Phantom Zone (or so he thinks), things are starting to look up for him. Meanwhile, Lana is getting in way too deep in dealing with the Luthors. She finds out her pregnancy was faked, and then gets shot while retrieving important information of Lex’s new super-soldier project. Since we’re near the end of the season, how will all this pan out for Clark and gang? Let’s find out… Continue reading

Lex and Lana are married, although how that happened is more miraculous considering Lana discovers Clark’s secret and wanted to call off the wedding. But, leave it to Lionel to extort her to get married at the threat of killing Clark. Why would he do that, you may ask? What’s so bizarre about Lana’s pregnancy? And now that we know Chloe has some meteor ability, what does this mean for Clark’s friend? Some answers are coming up… Continue reading

Smallville season 6 minicaps got its wedding invite and is debating not showing up. Although rumor is there’s a great dish being served at the wedding dinner. Mmmm…
Stewart here…
Well, pregnant Lana accepted Lex’s proposal for marriage, which is great news for Lex, and not necessarily for anyone else. Clark also has discovered a new ally in his hunt for Zoners and teamed up with an all-star super team in their attempt to destroy Lex’s 33.1 bases. So the big question is if Clark will pull a Dustin Hoffman from The Graduate and steal Lana away from the wedding? Um, the short answer is “sort of”, but the longer answer lies here… Continue reading

JOREL hand soap: helping people in psychiatric hospitals stay clean and fantasize about being space aliens with super powers. Use only as directed. Seriously.
Stewart here…
Where we last left Clark Kent was him trying to capture or destroy the escapees from the Phantom Zone. What happened is that we’ve discovered someone else is hunting them too, but whether they’re a new friend or new foe for Clark to worry about is still unknown (but this mystery player does like Oreos for certain). Plus, Lex proposed to Lana, but we don’t know what her answer is yet. And Lionel seems to be a good guy, but really, does anyone reading this believe that? However, read on for answers to all of that and other twists and turns… Continue reading

13 JanMany thanks to Emily for starting the year off with a drunk year in review. Made me laugh. But I’m poking my head in now with a slightly more serious look back at 2013 and where it took NerdLush. As well as some of the favorites, as voted on by fans. Continue reading
