I was inspired to dig up this posts old television series when a UK friend asked on twitter if it had been a real show or just a figment of his imagination. It was indeed a real show. And one that I remember fondly. No matter how ridiculous the plot actually was.
It’s time for Mini-cap voting!
29 MarStewart here…
Look, its been a fun ride so far recapping Farscape, but in case you can’t tell, I’m running into the final batch of episodes, and that ride is about to come to an end. I’m still itching to minicap some more Sci-Fi TV for you, but I thought instead of me making the call, I’d leave that to you, the fine NerdLush readers! Continue reading
FARSCAPE Revisited Mini-caps / Season 4, Episodes 10-13
23 MarStewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…
Hey, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, its time for another round of mini-caps on the fourth and final season of Farscape. So, we got some tension on Moya this season with Scorpius being a helpful if slightly suspicious traveler on the Leviathan, and Crichton has been having some tension with Aeryn. Not that she’s trying to patch things up, but between his taking some alien version of Ritalin and his growing wormhole zen, that’s a long way to go. Speaking of wormholes, they play a BIG role is this batch of minicaps. So, time? Continue reading

Stop the needless unemployment of innocent dinosaurs! Join the cause!
9 MarThe day following the season 1 finale of scifi adventure Primeval: New World, it was announced that it’s network would not be renewing. Essentially, the dinosaur romp was cancelled. The blow hit the fans hard- especially considering how the original UK series had been cancelled and saved by the fans. But here we are, on the tails of a fantastic 2-part finale- cliffhanger galore!- sitting on the precipice of a world with no employed dinosaurs.
Oh, and I really want to know what other stories the characters have to say! Continue reading
Random off schedule post because… it’s a T-rex.
21 FebSo, apparently Primeval: New World (a current obsession of mine, obviously) had the plug pulled this morning. And via twitter and Facebook, I’ve been participating in the posts to save it- it’s a fun show! And sometime earlier today, I RT’ed or “liked” the following pic… Continue reading
The Four Letter Word in Sci-Fi Shows: Cancelled
11 FebIt’s that awful moment during November sweeps, or during summer, refreshing your internet feed on twitter and tumblr when you see it- your favorite show has been CANCELED. Saddened and dismayed you take to the internet, posting comments and signing petitions, uploading rants about networks and their executives to YouTube After a few days, sometimes a few weeks in rare occasion, the average person moves on to another show, another fandom. Still, there are always shows that linger in people’s thoughts years after cancellation with fans always hoping that somehow the show will find a resurrection, as Firefly found with Serenity (although lets be honest, most of us would back a Kickstarter campaign to bring the show back in any form), Futurama found with another network, and of course the resurrection of Doctor Who in 2005, now one of the most popular shows in both Britain and the USA.
Faster, faster, must go faster! Or err… something like that.
7 FebFair warning- this is rambly. Even for me.
So, remember how I recently wrote about my plague and the end result was viewing the new Primeval: New World? And how in doing so I also ended up watching the original UK version, Primeval? Well… I did. I felt I needed an understanding of the concept in order to understand the new show. Actually, I don’t think you need to know more than the gist I wrote about in the other piece but since watching a few eps turned into marathoning all 5 seasons (36 episodes), I think it deserves a little love too.
Excuse me, waiter, there’s a dinosaur in my soup.
20 JanSo, I was struck down recently with something nasty- not the Flu, but just as lacking in fun- and it left me unable to do much more than lounge around watching TV. Which of course means that I’ve been catching up on stuff I’ve missed over the years etc. Everyone remembers my recent dive into Eureka, right? Well, as is my usual thing, I’ve been hunting other projects the cast has done. If I like someone’s performance in one thing, I like to know what else they’ve done. I got into Warehouse 13, watched some fun (and not so fun) movies, etc- most of this stuff I’ll write about later- and then allowed myself to watch a new series, that hadn’t even finished airing it’s first season! Welcome to Primeval: New World
