Life has been chaos for this little blogger. Following the pandemic, work stuff has been exhausting me to the point I haven’t been able to even begin to watch movies, catch up on TV shows, or much else. I do make time to read though, so at least that’s something. Continue reading
Reading is Fundamental
10 DecWhen I was a kid there was a wall in my bedroom covered in shelves that were covered in books. I have a perfect memory of one of my high school friends seeing it and being shocked, asking me if I had read all of them.
Yes. Yes, I had.
Dusting Off The Shelf: Letter F
7 FebTrying something new this week with a return to a genre style and a young adult novel turned film, The 5th Wave. I guess I could use this as a random film, but 5th starts with F and there ya go. Besides my other choice was too similar to a couple of the previous films… so I thought I’d switch it up a little.

What better way to relax at the beach or pool than with a good book? A lot of people still consider summer books as throwaway novels, but that doesn’t mean those are the only types of books you can read during the warm months. Continue reading
Collecting Collectibles

We may collect trading/sports cards. Or even something like stamps.
Whatever it is, it has meaning to us. Continue reading

Free Time! How should I fill it?
28 JulReal life is about to get a lot more boring for a little while- i.e. as I wait for my new RL job to start, I don’t have anything to do.
So I’m putting it out there to all of you… What should I do to fill up my days?
Are there shows I need to watch? Webseries?
What about books- any that you’d recommend?
Are there adventures I should look into having?
It’s been a while since I’ve had this kind of freedom and while I look forward to a few days of nothing but sleep, I’d like to keep busy.

23 May
Sometimes new authors (or in this case, new-ish) cross our paths and we feel the need to share them. This time we have the honor of interviewing Alex Langley, who has written some fabulous “geek” books as well as the upcoming graphic novel, Kill the Freshman, which was a Kickstarter that we helped fund last year. Quickie Thoughts on Syfy’s New Friday Night Lineup
17 JanStewart here…
Besides watching the new season of Banshee (a show clearly less “Nerdsquee” and more “WTFF?” territory), my Friday night TV watching is generally light. And with the recent news of the new season of Hannibal premiering in the summer (!), its going to be more so during the spring. However, as I had some spare time this Friday, I decided to check out the new lineup of shows on Syfy that night. Continue reading
