Theme music time! Farscape Season Two!

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Well, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, its time for another round of mini-caps on Farscape.  We’ve gotten to season two, and considering what happened at the end of season one, its good the wait between seasons is next to non-existent now, as opposed to when I watched the show for the first time, waiting MONTHS for a resolution for John and D’argo’s seemingly fatal spacewalk/setting a planet on fire stunt.  Of course, the big piece of trivia is the season was going to originally open with that particular plot point unresolved and focus on the remainder of Moya’s crew, but wiser heads prevailed (but that original season premiere would come back later on in the season).  Without further ado, let’s get to it, shall we? Theme music time! Still not dubstepped to the best of my knowledge…

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Welcome back, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, for another mini-cap on Farscape.  When last we left our crew of derelict prisoners, things got a little steamy between John and Aeryn, they picked up another prisoner in thief and likely cold-blooded killer Chiana, John got stranded and grew a bad beard (less said about that particular one the better), and he got to go home, albeit in a bizarre simulation by a race of aliens.  Of course, the last part turns out to be more eventful than even he knows, which leads us into the next batch of episodes… Continue reading

Theme music time!  I wonder if you can yodel this tune?

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Welcome back, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, for another mini-cap on Farscape.  We’re now past the midway point of season one, and the escaped prisoners on Moya have been having quite a time.  In the last mini-cap alone, Aeryn got some of Pilot’s DNA in her (along with some leftovers afterwards), D’Argo starts trying to stop being a jerkoff to John, Zhaan had to deal with Delvian insanity, and, oh yeah, Moya’s pregnant.  Yep, a living spaceship is expecting.  So with that, let’s get to it. Nerdplosion~ episode 4… I (sort of) Survived SDCC!

16 Jul

Just a quick post to let you know that yes, your hostess survived the annual nerd pilgrimage. I want to thank Stewart for stepping up and providing great news posts! I will be writing something ASAP to share the on-sight experience. And did you get a chance to read Emily’s addition?

I also want to mention that the interview I alluded to in the recent Random Questions post– talking with Tara & Yuri from Shelf Life, the series, went live on Action Flick Chick the other day. You can find part 1 here and part 2 here. I hope you enjoy the interview as much as we enjoyed doing it! It was a laugh riot- seriously. And definitely check out Shelf Life!

I’m exhausted from days on end of geekiness and crowds, so I’m going to take my brother back up north and then veg today as I get my thoughts in order. I’m afraid if I sit to write anything right now… it would end up pretty much gibberish!

San Diego COMIC-CON 2012 News Round-Up Day -1 (Warm-Up)

11 Jul

The San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) isn’t starting until Thursday (unless you count the preview night of some of the upcoming series coming up this fall later today), but that doesn’t mean early news is starting to leak in regarding some of the big announcements and events coming up.  Keep checking in over the weekend for some on the ground photos and commentary complied from from NerdLush hostess Elizabeth Ann, plus yours truly bringing you a round-up of the news (and my snarky responses) coming out of Comic-Con.

On The Road Again… SDCC 2012 Here We Come!

10 Jul

This time tomorrow I will be on the freeway heading from LA to San Diego in the annual Nerd Pilgrimage. I missed San Diego Comic-Con last year so I am super excited to be attending this year. I usually attend, with my brother (see here and here for explanations as to why), on behalf of Evil Squirrel Comics in Chicago. I love ESC- it’s my home away from home. This year, however, James and I have a new boss and shall be working for my other home away from home- Action Flick Chick. In the last few weeks, it’s been fun getting an idea of who we may end up talking to for AFC. Certainly made our usual moseying around a little more difficult, but goodness knows- we are up to the challenge! Continue reading

Theme music time! Time to yell incoherently!

Well, its time for another mini-cap on Farscape.  A brief recap on how things are going so far for our band of fugitives in the Uncharted Territories first, though.  John Crichton is still stuck in the wrong galaxy.  Aeryn is still “irreversibly contaminated”, D’Argo is still angry, Rygel is still full of himself, and Zhaan is still blue, although her recent excursion into the darkside is not reassuring.  Oh, and the Peacekeeper commander Crais who is hunting them?  He’s pretty much hiding his superiors’ orders to return home by killing his own officers.  So with that, let’s get to it.
