Fairy Tales are just not the same anymore…
21 MarSo in my recent binge of Syfy channel films, I’ve taken to finally watching the channel’s versions of the fairy tales/fantasies- Tin Man, Alice, and Neverland. I’ve stated a few times that I’m not big on things that are altered from the original. Why change a good story? Or song? But every once in a while I give these things a chance.

9 MarThe day following the season 1 finale of scifi adventure Primeval: New World, it was announced that it’s network would not be renewing. Essentially, the dinosaur romp was cancelled. The blow hit the fans hard- especially considering how the original UK series had been cancelled and saved by the fans. But here we are, on the tails of a fantastic 2-part finale- cliffhanger galore!- sitting on the precipice of a world with no employed dinosaurs.

Hey, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, its time for some mini-caps on Farscape. Here we are at the end of season three, and now we find Crichton on a mission to stop Scorpius’ wormhole research project, by securing safe harbor onto his Command Carrier. Sadly, that’s the easy part of this whole thing. Plans on Farscape have a funny way of going bad quickly, and Crichton’s does so as well. 19 FebI’m back with another look at an older web series. This one is a wee bit different- it was essentially a film that was broken up into episodic pieces. Thus there is and will be no season 2 etc. But that doesn’t keep me from wanting to share.
Back in 2009 rumors and information hit the ‘net that Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood) was going to be starring in a dark and twisted new web series. I was in love with it just from knowing that tiny bit. When Girl Number 9 began airing… it was almost too dark to watch alone. Utterly fantastic.

15 FebThe awkward morning after a one night stand can be one of the more uncomfortable experiences we experience during our crazy college and post college days. Most of us have at least one cringe worthy story, or at the very least can tell a story of a roommate or Frat brother who tried to sneak out of the bedroom of someone who’s name they can’t even remember.
Faster, faster, must go faster! Or err… something like that.

So, remember how I recently wrote about my plague and the end result was viewing the new Primeval: New World? And how in doing so I also ended up watching the original UK version, Primeval? Well… I did. I felt I needed an understanding of the concept in order to understand the new show. Actually, I don’t think you need to know more than the gist I wrote about in the other piece but since watching a few eps turned into marathoning all 5 seasons (36 episodes), I think it deserves a little love too.
