Welcome back, Arrowheads! Well, the good news from last time is Roy didn’t kill Sara, but does remember killing a cop under a Mirakuru OD, so little joy there for Ollie’s sidekick. Also, Ollie stopped a former sidekick of Ted Grant who went on a gangland killing spree, who was being transferred to prison when…hey, who’s that redhead with the bow and arrow killing him? And why has she been popping up in crime scenes where the Arrow has been?

Thea is using Malcolm Merlyn’s money to buy back the Verdant and a killer apartment for her and Ollie to be roomies in, but is neglecting to mention her secret training with Malcolm. Laurel is training with boxer Ted Grant to deal with her anger issues, but is not telling her dad that Sara is dead. 8 NovStan Lee’s Comikaze Expo recently celebrated its fourth year with it’s largest event to date. The convention has grown immensely since it began in 2011- but it’s done so smartly; it doesn’t feel too big for its space or time. Over all, it was a fun filled weekend of nerdy adventuring.
I’ve attended Comikaze every year- however, this was the first year I attended all 3 days (though Friday was just a short visit to get a feel for it and pick up our passes). It was also the first year I’d participated in a panel.

So here’s what you need to know: with the VRA repealed, our heroes can come out of hiding and start dealing with the big issues again. For Clark, it’s time to time to tie up some things before he gets married to Lois, like getting that Lex clone Conner set on a heroic path. There’s also the unexpected surprises, like Oliver and Chloe’s accidentally getting married (but its all good) and a parallel reality Lionel Luthor (where Clark was his prodigal son) briefly taking over his company. But there’s still more on the horizon to worry about, like Darkseid bringing evil to the world, Ollie being an unknowing agent of Darkseid, and Clark figuring out how to be out in the public as a hero while maintaining a secret identity. Clark managed to avoid getting beamed up to wherever with Zod and the Kandorians, but still has a lot more problems to deal with on Earth. There’s the warnings of a great evil coming, and Jor-El feels Clark isn’t ready to fight it. Then there’s a shady government guy who’s tagging and monitoring superheroes. Then there’s Chloe faking her death and going into hiding. Then there’s Oliver revealing he’s Green Arrow to the public. Then there’s Lois knowing Clark’s secret unbeknownst to him. Then there’s the anti-vigilante push starting to simmer. And even then, there’s the Lex clone that Tess is secretly raising. Man, here’s hoping this round of minicaps gets him a break.
