The problem with hiatus TV is that it sucks. There’s a lot of reality TV and reruns. Nothing entertaining really. At least to me. So I’ll be using the suggestions from a previous post as entertainment til something new starts. Continue reading

What would you watch if you had all the time in the world?
21 MayYou may not know this but I recently completed my dissertation and with it, pretty much my doctorate. I mean, just one piddly little internship to go! This has opened up a ton of free time that I had previously (for the last several years) used to focus on researching and writing my dissertation. Time that could’ve been spent watching TV! but alas, was used to write a ridiculously long document that demonstrates that our legal system is broken… or something like that. Continue reading
Television Graveyard- plot 8, The Gates
19 MayOne of the great things about the end of the “normal” TV season is that it gives a chance to sit back and enjoy, via Hulu or Netflix, a show that ended years ago or that you may have missed. In my case, I have been enjoying a short lived supernatural series from 2010- The Gates.

Television Bloodbath!
13 MayOver the last week, the networks have announced which shows are canceled, renewed, and which pilots made the cut. It’s been both stressful and entertaining to watch. The stress came from waiting to hear if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had been renewed (it was). The entertainment from not really being attached to the shows that got canceled.
A PENNY DREADFUL premiere review for your thoughts
11 MayStewart here…
Being so busy watching other quality shows, I rarely have time to indulge in finding new ones. So, when I was informed that Showtime put up the first episode of Penny Dreadful, their new supernatural series online for nada, I thought it would be worth a look. Now, I had heard about it over the last year, mostly because of its talent behind it: Sam Mendes and John Logan, director and writer respectively of the recent James Bond movie, Skyfall (and the follow-up due around 2015), with Logan the main writer of the show. But up until the time of hearing the premiere was available to watch, did not much about it. Continue reading

Official Synopsis
Mark Grayson is just like most everyone his age. He’s a senior at a normal American high school. He has a crappy part time job after school and on weekends. He likes girls quite a bit but quite doesn’t understand them. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and sleeping late on Saturdays (at least until the good cartoons come on). The only difference between Mark and everyone else his age is that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, and as of late, he seems to be inheriting his father’s powers.
But that’s only the beginning of Marks problems.
