Thankful thoughts

28 Nov

Just a short note today to say “Thank you” to each and every one of you who visits this site, follows the facebook, twitter, or google plus pages, comments (though… a little more commenting would be awesome!), and interacts with the NerdLush crew. We appreciate you so much. I’ll be honest, we do these posts and have this site for ourselves but to be able to share with so many… it is a blessing.  Continue reading

And The Next Round of TV Minicaps Goes To…

26 Nov

Stewart here…

Well, I just recently finished doing minicaps for Smallville, which I’ll admit took longer than I planned to do and ultimately finish. It was laid out as a year long job, and thanks to tons of mitigating factors out of my control, took almost a year and a half. But here I am, at the end of it, and now the question I have is: what show will I review next? Continue reading

Do I hear a waltz? Track 5

Wanna attend a convention without leaving your house? Now you can!

Followers of this site know that we are big fans of our friends Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt. Their energy and humor are always good for some fun. And they are putting together something special for fans- but don’t take my word for it. Let’s hear from the source themselves-

ARROW Season 3×07, “Draw Back Your Bow” recap

20 Nov

arrow325Welcome back, Arrowheads! Well, the good news from last time is Roy didn’t kill Sara, but does remember killing a cop under a Mirakuru OD, so little joy there for Ollie’s sidekick. Also, Ollie stopped a former sidekick of Ted Grant who went on a gangland killing spree, who was being transferred to prison when…hey, who’s that redhead with the bow and arrow killing him? And why has she been popping up in crime scenes where the Arrow has been?

Gotham… do I like it or not?

As I type this, I am halfway through the ninth episode of Gotham. And I still can’t decide if I like it.

The Smallville season 10 minicaps wishes you a fond farewell...and okay, NOW you can cue the theme music!

The Smallville season 10 minicaps wishes you a fond farewell…and okay, NOW you can cue the theme music!

Stewart here…

Ten seasons have boiled down to this. The threat of Darkseid is looming closer than anyone can suspect, the alt reality Lionel is still running around, Ollie is under the influence of Darkseid’s prophets of doom, and after a almost fatal incident, Lois has gotten cold feet about the wedding to Clark. A lot is going to happen to before its over, along with a few deaths and a rebirth, but most importantly, it’s time for Clark Kent to live up to his destiny and fight the darkness. Go get ’em, Clark. ARROW Season 3×06, “Guilty” recap

12 Nov

arrow302

Welcome back, Arrowheads! So things are getting a bit complicated, with everyone doing their own white lies. Thea is using Malcolm Merlyn’s money to buy back the Verdant and a killer apartment for her and Ollie to be roomies in, but is neglecting to mention her secret training with Malcolm. Laurel is training with boxer Ted Grant to deal with her anger issues, but is not telling her dad that Sara is dead. And then there’s Roy, who has been having some sleep trouble, probably related to him dreaming she killed Sara! But did he? And if he did, why? Continue reading

A little John Barrowman is good for the soul.

10 Nov

As previously mentioned in the recent Comikaze Expo post, NerdLush caught the John Barrowman panels at the convention. We also caught them on video for those not able to attend the convention… and to be honest, because we just adore the man and wanted to be able to watch the panels again.

John-Barrowman Continue reading
