Ventured towards California’s coast over the weekend to attend the 2nd Heroes and Villains Fan Fest (HVFF) in San Jose. This is a convention that has been growing steadily since its first event a year and a half/two years ago. It was a good weekend- not perfect- and something we’d love to check out again.
Gotham season 2 review… the good, the bad, and the OMG they didn’t do that, did they?
24 AugSecond season of FOX’s Gotham continued as my guilty pleasure program. There’s something about it that’s really good… but also something sort of awful.
And I’m not just referring to Fish Mooney.

Out and About in the Central Valley- Modesto Con
19 JulSince moving HQ from LA to the Central Valley in 2014, we’ve tried to ensure that we take in the local nerdy scene. Growing up in the area, I remember having a few decent events when I was a kid and then nothing for a solid 10 years. Thus… it’s been a lot of fun checking out some of the local conventions and seeing the community grow.

Another WonderCon survival story!
20 MayI’ve been sitting on my thoughts about WonderCon 2016 for a bit now because I was bitter about being there alone this year… but that wasn’t WonderCon’s fault. So I’ve decided to draft my thoughts and just move on.
It might sound crazy but it ain’t no lie, Baby bye bye bye

Today I want to write about the *spoiler* death of Laurel Lance and why I giddily danced around my livingroom when this happened recently on Arrow. Continue reading
Collecting Collectibles
23 FebWhether you realize it or not, everyone collects something that is important to them. As kids, we collect toys- had to have all the Star Wars toys when I was little, not to mention the “Cabbage Patch” and “Barbie” dolls I had- and sometimes that continues as adults. We may collect trading/sports cards. Or even something like stamps.
Whatever it is, it has meaning to us. Continue reading
