ARROW Season 6×09, “Irreconcilable Differences” recap

10 Dec

Welcome back, Arrowheads! So unless you were busy the last two weeks, Team Arrow was involved in helping fight interdimensional Nazis and a mirror universe evil Ollie! Oh, and also, Ollie and Felicity had an impromptu wedding (you can read more on that here)! But let’s get back to pressing matters in Arrowland, like Ollie being indicted for being the Green Arrow, and how would the FBI know that? Just how, I wonder? Continue reading

Heroes and Villains invade San Jose for another grand Fan Fest!

7 Dec

We had the opportunity to attend Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in San Jose for the second year recently. Since we weren’t there in a press/media or doing a panel capacity, it was a little strange and initially there wasn’t going to be a post about the convention. However, there were enough differences- and some issues we wanted to address- that it seems like a good idea to write something up. We had a great time, I want to make that clear- HVFF puts on a good show!

But… it could be better. Continue reading

ARROW Season 6×07, “Thanksgiving” recap

25 Nov

Welcome back, Arrowheads! Team Arrow has had its share of problems this season, primarily dealing with the controlled machinations of evil superhacker Cayden James and his right hand woman, the evil Laurel Lance, Black Siren. Add to that Ollie and company being investigated by the FBI, Diggle trying to find a way to deal with his nerve damage, plus Felicity and Curtis trying to jumpstart a new joint business venture, and they are going into the holiday season with a lot on their hands. Continue reading

ARROW Season 6×06, “Promises Kept” recap

17 Nov

Welcome back, Arrowheads! When last we left everybody, things were getting dicey in Team Arrow. Diggle was hiding his nerve injury from his teammates, which I’m sure is less disturbing than the fact he’s been taking some kind of drug to quell that injury. Ollie has found himself on a mission to help Slade recover Slade’s son, Joe, from a Kasnian prison and the eyes of a deadly mercenary group called The Jackals. What neither Slade world Ollie counted on was that Joe was the Jackals’ leader! Family reunions get so awkward, don’t they? Continue reading

ARROW Season 6×05, “Deathstroke Returns” recap

11 Nov

Welcome back, Arrowheads! With Ollie taking time to be a dad and Diggle now taking over the Green Arrow mantle, it’s time to focus on some other characters we haven’t been seeing for a while. For instance, Slade Wilson, who last we saw him going to find his estranged son, Joe, who he hasn’t seen since before his fateful first trip to the island of Lian Yu. And someone like Vigilante, who we haven’t seen since he took a header off a parking garage by Prometheus’ hand last season. So, let’s catch up on those two…BUT first… Continue reading

ARROW Season 6×04, “Reversal” recap

4 Nov

Welcome back, Arrowheads! With Ollie taking a long deserved break from being the Green Arrow to be a mayor and a father, it’s now to John Diggle to take the mantle and lead of Team Arrow! Of course, he has his own share of problems (nerve damage and taking some illegal drugs to relieve that pain), but Diggle is finally starting to settle into his new role. Of course there is the still at large Black Siren, and her mystery benefactor. Hey, where is she, by the way? Continue reading
