Welcome back, Arrowheads, for the last time! This short season has been one long goodbye for Oliver Queen, as he’s said goodbye to friends and family, all while preparing for the Crisis that would threaten the entire multiverse. Well, the Crisis has come and passed, and Ollie is dead, having created a new universe for all his loved ones that is slightly different than the one his extended family remembers. And while we have seen how this new universe has affected other heroes, we only know about the future of Star City, being at peace for decades after Ollie’s passing. But what about our present? What has been changed, and what is next for everyone who knows Oliver Queen now? Continue reading
ARROW Season 8×09, “Green Arrow and The Canaries” recap
24 JanWelcome back from the break, Arrowheads! So in case you didn’t know from not watching Crisis on Infinite Earths (and also, why didn’t you?), Oliver Queen is dead. He died protecting the multiverse, and came back again to die (again), giving birth to a new Earth. A lot of things have changed (if you’ve been watching the other Arrowverse shows, you know it’s been quite a bit), but what about what happened to Ollie’s kids, Mia and William? What about their future, now that it’s already been radically changed already before Crisis? Continue reading
ARROW Season 8×07, “Purgatory” recap
5 DecWelcome back, Arrowheads! We’ve been leading Oliver Queen and friends on these missions for The Monitor to fight the coming Crisis all season, and we have finally come to the last leg of this journey before we face the end…of Arrow. And all of this has brought Ollie and friends to the place where it all began for him: Lian Yu! So what will Ollie do, now that he has accepted he won’t survive Crisis? What is Ollie’s plan for breaking this news to his kids? And what is Lyla’s role in all of this? Continue reading
ARROW Season 8×05, “Prochnost” recap
20 NovWelcome back, Arrowheads! We’re at the halfway point of this final season, and we’ve had plenty of shocks and big events, but probably no event more shocking than our current Team Arrow meeting their hero children from 2040! How and why they are there is still a big mystery (bet The Monitor on this one), but while they are there, this gives Ollie and Diggle an opportunity to see the future through their children, adopted or otherwise. But while Ollie tries to figure out how to fight The Monitor if it turns out he isn’t the good guy he might be, we know The Monitor has agents in Team Arrow’s midst, like Lyla, and maybe another one, if he recruits Evil Laurel into the fold with the promise of bringing back Earth-2! Will Evil Laurel join The Monitor’s cause and betray Ollie and company? And how does Russia fit into Ollie’s quest to get a Monitor fighting weapon? Read on to find out… Continue reading
ARROW Season 7×22, “You Have Saved This City” (season finale) recap
14 MayWelcome back for the season finale, Arrowheads! Team Arrow is facing trouble left and right thanks to Emiko’s attempt to destroy the legacy of the Queen family, and by extension, Oliver Queen and company. The police are now hunting them down, and that only gets worse because of a rampage Emiko commits in the police station dressed as the Green Arrow. Ollie wants to stop his mad half-sister, but wants to try to redeem her, not kill her. Speaking of difficult odds, our heroes in the future are about to launch an attack on Galaxy One before they release their Zeta supersoldiers, but find themselves all swarmed by the bad guys! Somehow we will solve all of this drama here, but let’s start with the flashforward… Continue reading
ARROW Season 7×21, “Living Proof” recap
9 MayWelcome back, Arrowheads! Last time, Team Arrow put themselves in a rather sticky position when they helped their friend, Roy Harper, cover up an unintentional murder or two while he was under the influence of some Lazarus Pit related bloodlust. This was a massive mistake because Emiko took surveillance camera video and delivered it to the police, possibly destroying the progress they have made over the past year to clean up their image. Then, she decides to let Ollie know about her not preventing the Queen’s Gambit from going under, because she wanted their father to pay for abandoning her. And just to add some extra salt to the wound, she drops a whole building on the Team! Meantime in the future, our heroes still have to handle a group of super soldiers enhanced by Felicity’s Archer program. By the way, how did that end up in the hands of the bad guys, since she destroyed it in the present? Let’s get an answer to that first… Continue reading
ARROW Season 7×20, “Confessions” recap
30 AprWelcome back, Arrowheads! Ollie let Emiko in on the fact that Dante, her mentor in the Ninth Circle, was the one who killed her mother, and she…took that well. “Well”, meaning she brutally kills Dante, but since she’s still running the Ninth Circle, I don’t think she’ll get many complaints from her minions there. But the Team still has to stop her, since she’s grabbed a deadly chemical for some future nefarious terrorist act. Also we should note something here since we don’t have a flash forwards this time: Roy seems to have a few “issues” from over the years, and it’s stuff Dinah knows about. Just something to keep in mind for later. Continue reading
ARROW Season 7×17, “Inheritance” recap
26 MarWelcome back, Arrowheads! So Ollie has been connecting with his newly discovered step-sister, Emiko, whose past has been relatively mysterious, save her search for the man who killed her mother. But as the last few episodes have shown, Emiko is likely more screwy than the other siblings in the Queen clan. For one, we learn the super criminal Dante knows her very well; two, that she is responsible for killing Ricardo Diaz while he was in prison; and three, threatens Evil Laurel with exposing her real identity when the D.A. puts together what Emiko has done. So how did she become a agent of evil? And what will happen when Ollie and company find out the truth? Read on… Continue reading
ARROW Season 7×16, “Star City 2040” recap
20 MarWelcome back, Arrowheads! Putting everything in the present on the back burner this episode, let’s discuss the flashforwards into 2040 so far: grown up William finds a message from Felicity, and through that gets a band of heroes to help find her, mainly Dinah, Roy Harper, and Rene’s grown up daughter Zoe. Eventually he gets the help of Diggle’s adopted kid, Connor Hawke, and…Mia Smoak? Yeah, well Felicity and Ollie had a kid ( or have a kid in the present, you know what I mean) and that kid grows up to be a bit angry. But how did that happen? Can they find Felicity? And what about that plan to destroy Star City? Is Rene, now Mayor of the now thriving Glades, on the side of the bad guys? More on that below… Continue reading
ARROW Season 7×15, “Training Day” recap
14 MarWelcome back, Arrowheads! Last we left Team Arrow, they are still working under the SCPD, but have been also pursuing a heavily connected super criminal only known as Dante. While they have finally seen the elusive criminal up close, he escaped, and then we learn how close he is to hitting the team when we see Emiko knows him! Add to that, Dante’s contact, Ricardo Diaz, got torched in his cell by an unknown assailant, but considering Diaz helped ARGUS track Dante, it’s hard not to put together who’s behind that human barbecuing. On another end, Ollie has finally learned Felicity is pregnant, which is great news as he’s a legit crime fighter now, right? You would think that… Continue reading
