ARROW Season 8×05, “Prochnost” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads! We’re at the halfway point of this final season, and we’ve had plenty of shocks and big events, but probably no event more shocking than our current Team Arrow meeting their hero children from 2040! How and why they are there is still a big mystery (bet The Monitor on this one), but while they are there, this gives Ollie and Diggle an opportunity to see the future through their children, adopted or otherwise. But while Ollie tries to figure out how to fight The Monitor if it turns out he isn’t the good guy he might be, we know The Monitor has agents in Team Arrow’s midst, like Lyla, and maybe another one, if he recruits Evil Laurel into the fold with the promise of bringing back Earth-2! Not only have they lost both their HQs, Ricardo Diaz has solidified his hold on Star City and whatever’s left of the Quadrant. Previously, Ollie found himself prisoner of Adrian Chase/Prometheus, and got a lesson as to what kind of man he is, specifically a guy who probably enjoys murdering bad guys. This helpful yet mildly unstable public servant has a beef with Ollie, and may have another connection to Ollie’s past: being trained by the woman who helped him become the Hood, Talia Al Ghul! Welcome back, Arrowheads! So we’ve had this whole Prometheus stuff hanging over this season, and now, it looks like Prometheus just launched another wave of pain against Oliver Queen. Besides leaking that hidden autopsy report on Billy to the police, our baddie also leaked it to the press, which could lead to the end of Ollie’s term as mayor of Star City! Also, Thea’s starting to remind Ollie of Mama Queen (and not in the best way, since Thea pretty much destroyed Susan’s career) and Felicity is really liking all that info she got from the mysterious Helix.
