Welcome back, Arrowheads, for the last time! This short season has been one long goodbye for Oliver Queen, as he’s said goodbye to friends and family, all while preparing for the Crisis that would threaten the entire multiverse. Well, the Crisis has come and passed, and Ollie is dead, having created a new universe for all his loved ones that is slightly different than the one his extended family remembers. And while we have seen how this new universe has affected other heroes, we only know about the future of Star City, being at peace for decades after Ollie’s passing. But what about our present? ARROW Season 8×03, “Leap of Faith” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads! When last we left things, Ollie performed another task for The Monitor, but eventually got to realizing he knows nothing about the being sending him on these tasks. So, he’s going to find an organization with enough ancient ties to put together who The Monitor is, and that is visiting Nanda Parbat, the home of the destroyed League of Assassins! What he doesn’t know is that he’s not the only agent working for The Monitor’s goals, and that one is a very close ally: Diggle’s wife, Lyla! In the future, JJ, Diggle’s son, has put his Deathstroke gang onto a mission to kill the group trying to bring Star City and the Glades back together, and William is on that list! Welcome back, Arrowheads! Last time, Oliver Queen got himself transferred to Level Two of Slabside to find “The Demon”, who may know something on Ricardo Diaz. Instead, he got some serious head shrinkage from the doctor running the place, Parker, which can only be bad, right? Meanwhile, Felicity and Evil Laurel have managed to put a tracer on The Silencer, in the hope she will lead them to Diaz. ARROW Season 5×23, “Lian Yu” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads! It’s season finale time, and last time we were all here, we got quite a setup.  Ollie was put in the unenviable position to free our season’s big bad, Adrian Chase, when Adrian’s associates kidnapped all of Team Arrow, even his hidden son!  Discovering Adrian had made his way to Lian Yu to setup some final confrontation between the two, Ollie knew he had to get some help, and enlisted Malcolm Merlyn and Nyssa al Ghul.  But once they all got to the island, he still had to get one more hand to help him in this fight: the imprisoned Deathstroke/Slade Wilson!  How will this wobbly team-up going to fare against all those bad guys?  Well, before we get to the shocking result, let’s check in on another ticking clock… Continue reading →

ARROW Season 5×22, “Missing” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads!  We’re on the tail end of the season, and it seems we are going out on a good note.  The big bad of the season, Adrian Chase, has been captured and imprisoned, which I’m sure is a relief to everyone in Team Arrow.  So I guess there’s no big city ending threat this season and the next two episodes is gonna be the gang just kicking back and enjoying some quiet time catching up with their favorite books or TV shows.

ARROW Season 5×16, “Checkmate” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads!  Oliver and company had their fill of bad guy Prometheus, and so far, have no clue who this guy is.  What they don’t know is our Big Bad for the season is Star City’s own District Attorney, Adrian Chase!  This helpful yet mildly unstable public servant has a beef with Ollie, and may have another connection to Ollie’s past: being trained by the woman who helped him become the Hood, Talia Al Ghul!  Meantime, Felicity is getting in deeper with the computer hacking group HELIX, and Ollie’s current girlfriend, Susan, may have just gotten herself in trouble with Adrian.  Let’s see how Ollie reacts to discovering his new buddy is his new bad guy… Continue reading →

ARROW Season 5×11, “Second Chances” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads!  The Team had a surprise last time when the dead Laurel Lance came to see them, only to be revealed as the evil Laurel from Earth-2, sprung on them by Prometheus.  This encounter makes Ollie determined to make good on his promise to find someone to take the Black Canary mantle.  In other developments, Diggle is still stuck in prison, and thanks to some quick thinking on DA Adrian’s part, isn’t shipped off to some clearly uncertain end.  But what we should get to is the flashbacks, because Ollie is saved by Talia al Ghul!  Continue reading →

ARROW Season 5×10, “Who Are You?” recap

Welcome back from Winter hiatus, Arrowheads!  When we left Team Arrow last year, things were not so rosy for them.  Quentin went into rehab, Curtis is estranged from his hubby, Evelyn turned on them to side with Prometheus, Diggle got busted by the military, and Prometheus tricked Ollie into killing Felicity’s cop boyfriend!  As if things couldn’t get worse, a familiar face appears in the Arrow HQ: Laurel Lance!  The DEAD Laurel Lance!  What is going on there?  Let’s hold on that for a second and focus on another big reveal that happens this episode… Continue reading →
