ARROW Season 8×10, “Fadeout” (SERIES FINALE) recap

1 Feb

Welcome back, Arrowheads, for the last time! This short season has been one long goodbye for Oliver Queen, as he’s said goodbye to friends and family, all while preparing for the Crisis that would threaten the entire multiverse. Well, the Crisis has come and passed, and Ollie is dead, having created a new universe for all his loved ones that is slightly different than the one his extended family remembers. And while we have seen how this new universe has affected other heroes, we only know about the future of Star City, being at peace for decades after Ollie’s passing. But what about our present? What has been changed, and what is next for everyone who knows Oliver Queen now? Continue reading

ARROW Season 8×04, “Present Tense” recap

6 Nov

Welcome back, Arrowheads! Last time, Ollie and friends were trying to figure out more about the mysterious Monitor and what his intentions really are, while in the future, the assault on JJ and his Deathstroke gang went sideways as Zoe got killed in the ensuing battle. But none of that matters because, shockingly our Future Team Arrow of Mia, William, and Connor find themselves transported to now in the Arrow Bunker, literally in front of their dads, Ollie and Diggle, respectively! What is going on? Is this the Monitor’s doing? And what could happen as a result of this combo of present and future heroes? Continue reading

ARROW Season 8×01, “Starling City” recap

16 Oct

Welcome back, Arrowheads, as we start the final season of Arrow! In case you need a reminder of what happened in the season finale, here’s the short version: Oliver has been recruited by The Monitor to save the entire multiverse from destruction, but it’s a mission that will end in Ollie’s demise (he did make a deal with The Monitor to sacrifice himself for his comrades, after all)! But what is this mission exactly? Let’s find out in a second, but first, let’s deal with the flashforwards to 2040 and the Queen siblings and get that out of the way, okay? Continue reading

ARROW Season 7×22, “You Have Saved This City” (season finale) recap

14 May

Welcome back for the season finale, Arrowheads! Team Arrow is facing trouble left and right thanks to Emiko’s attempt to destroy the legacy of the Queen family, and by extension, Oliver Queen and company. The police are now hunting them down, and that only gets worse because of a rampage Emiko commits in the police station dressed as the Green Arrow. Ollie wants to stop his mad half-sister, but wants to try to redeem her, not kill her. Speaking of difficult odds, our heroes in the future are about to launch an attack on Galaxy One before they release their Zeta supersoldiers, but find themselves all swarmed by the bad guys! Somehow we will solve all of this drama here, but let’s start with the flashforward… Continue reading

ARROW Season 7×14, “Brothers & Sisters” recap

6 Mar

Welcome back, Arrowheads! Just to catch you up on things before our brief hiatus, let’s start with some big developments for Team Arrow itself. Diggle and Lyla have restarted the Suicide, ahem, Ghost Initiative to find the super criminal Dante, and among that “volunteered by explosives in the skull” group is Ricardo Diaz, which can only be problematic. Curtis is leaving for greener pastures and Dinah is getting hospitalized for that throat slashing she took, which is only the tip of crazy developments. William got sent to live with his grandparents in the effort to help him grow up slightly normal, which is an awkwardly timed step for the Queen family, because Felicity learns at the same time that she’s pregnant! This has its own repercussions in the future story playing out, because we learn Blackstar is Mia Smoak, Ollie and Felicity’s daughter! Oh, and Emiko is still looking for her mom’s killer. That’s about it. I think. Let’s just get to it… Continue reading

ARROW Season 7×13, “Star City Slayer” recap

13 Feb

Welcome back, Arrowheads! When last we left our heroes, the Team got officially deputized as cops, which solves a lot of that pesky anti-vigilante stuff, right? Well we still got issues to deal with, like William being all sulky after coming home from boarding school, which we discover he got expelled from. And we also have someone stalking our heroes, leaving them threatening notes, but nothing truly horrifying happening…yet. In the future, Mia (the woman also known as “Blackstar”) takes a friend, Connor Hawke (also known as John Diggle’s son) to find the old Arrow Bunker for some reason. Now that we got that catch-up out the way, let’s get to the recap proper… Continue reading

ARROW Season 7×12, “Emerald Archer” recap

5 Feb

Welcome back, Arrowheads! We’ll get to the cake and drinks eventually (SPOILERS: there is no cake), but first, let’s recap things so far. Ollie is now officially working with the Star City Police Department, and while in that precarious position, contending with the discovery of a half-sister, Emiko, who has taken on the Green Arrow look for her little mission of revenge. But where does this leave the rest of the ex-Team Arrow members? And how does all of this play into a future where Star City has gone to crap? Well, let’s jump into this 150th episode and find out… Continue reading

ARROW Season 7×11, “Past Sins” recap

29 Jan

Welcome back, Arrowheads! With Oliver Queen now a hero deputized to work with the Star City police, he starts looking into the Faux Arrow that’s been running around taking down bad guys while he was in prison. His investigation comes to a shocking conclusion: the new vigilante is his hidden half-sister Emiko! How will Ollie deal with this revelation, especially since last we saw him, he just met Emiko for the first time? And how will Diggle’s plan to reactivate the Ghost Initiative fare, especially since the first “recruit” is none other than Ricardo Diaz? Let’s find out… Continue reading

ARROW Season 7×10, “My Name Is Emiko Queen” recap

23 Jan

Welcome back from the winter break, Arrowheads! So we we’re gone from these separate recaps a bit longer than usual thanks to Elseworlds, but here’s where we left off: Ollie has another half-sister, and she’s our Faux Green Arrow! While we wait for those two to meet, Ollie has been deputized by the CCPD so he can bring his vigilante skills to proper law enforcement. His old nemesis Ricardo Diaz is locked up, but seems to be getting a second chance offered to him by…Diggle? And we haven’t even mentioned in the future flashforwards that our heroes need to get in touch with the now mayor of The Glades…Rene! Well, let’s start there with this recap… Continue reading
