We’re turning 1/2!!!!!

29 Aug

September 19th-ish is NerdLush’s six month birthday! So… we’re having a party. A costume party! So here’s the thing… we’re not sure what kind of party to have! Take the poll and help us decide how to celebrate!

Secondly, if you are in the SoCal area (or close enough to drive… or plan to be in LA around the 22nd…) let us know if you are interested on being on the guest list! You can do this one of 2 ways…

1. leave an email addy in the comments
2. send an email to NerdLush@gmail.com letting us know you’d like an invite!

Theme music time! Farscape Season Two!

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Well, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, its time for another round of mini-caps on Farscape.  We’ve gotten to season two, and considering what happened at the end of season one, its good the wait between seasons is next to non-existent now, as opposed to when I watched the show for the first time, waiting MONTHS for a resolution for John and D’argo’s seemingly fatal spacewalk/setting a planet on fire stunt.  Of course, the big piece of trivia is the season was going to originally open with that particular plot point unresolved and focus on the remainder of Moya’s crew, but wiser heads prevailed (but that original season premiere would come back later on in the season).  Without further ado, let’s get to it, shall we? The Awesome Power of Nerds

13 Aug

As a geek/nerd (who really cares which I claim or am?), I enjoy following other like minded people on their sites, blogs, facebook and twitter pages, and getting links or just hearing what they are up to. The power of the internet has done so much to bring people together. In the last couple of weeks, there have been a couple pieces that I want to chat about- Continue reading

I ♥ LA

7 Aug

This is one of the posts where I mention that I adore living in L.A. OK, sure, there’s traffic and there are people whose mere existence in the universe make you want to punch them… but there are also awesome things that happen here- and probably not likely to occur elsewhere.

Our Curiosity has been piqued!

Mars is easily my favorite planet. In middle school, in order to get into the super fancy engineering academy high school, I wrote an essay about how much I wanted to be the first woman on Mars. And I have evey intention of one day taking a vacation to Mars (probably when I’m elevendy.) So, with that being said…

WE JUST LANDED STUFF ON MARS!!!!!!!!!!!! Continue reading

DVD Commentaries… yay or nay?

5 Aug

As I watch my Farscape DVDs (or the recently released Leverage s4), I’ve taken to watching the commentaries- something I usually only do after having watched the show/film multiple times first. Continue reading

Theme music time! Still not dubstepped to the best of my knowledge…

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Welcome back, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, for another mini-cap on Farscape.  When last we left our crew of derelict prisoners, things got a little steamy between John and Aeryn, they picked up another prisoner in thief and likely cold-blooded killer Chiana, John got stranded and grew a bad beard (less said about that particular one the better), and he got to go home, albeit in a bizarre simulation by a race of aliens.  Of course, the last part turns out to be more eventful than even he knows, which leads us into the next batch of episodes… Continue reading
