Welcome to 2014, Arrow-heads!  Here’s a quick recap of things that happened last time: that super drug from the island is still around, thanks to Slade being revealed as the architect of the troubles in Starling City.  That super-drug has also made its way into Roy, and Ollie’s keeping an eye on him while hunting down Brother Blood.  Too bad he doesn’t know Mr. Blood is running for mayor of the city.  Felicity gets a boyfriend, who ends up comatose thanks to a freak accident.  And Ollie gets a mask.  How does the new year start for everyone?  With a bang! We started season six with Clark escaping from the Phantom Zone to defeat Zod possessed Lex.  While stopping Zod/Lex went well, his escape did allow some of the baddies in the Phantom Zone to arrive on Earth.  Speaking of bad news for Clark, Lana has moved in with Lex and they seem to be getting really cozy.  On the other hand, Clark finds he has some help in the crime-fighting department with the arrival of Oliver Queen in Metropolis, who happens to also dabble in running around fighting crime in a green hood and shooting arrows.  So, let’s see what happens now… Continue reading →

Welcome to the sixth season of Smallville minicaps!  So, last season brought a lot of high and lows for recent high school graduate Clark Kent.  Besides getting a shiny new kryptonian designed fortress in the arctic, Clark has gone off to college.  But all that gets derailed by many cataclysmic events, like the death of his adopted father, Jonathan, and the end of his relationship with Lana, who ends up shacking up with Lex.  Throughout this season has also been the threat of Zod, a kryptonian criminal returning from the Phantom Zone to conquer Earth.  Well, Zod has needed a vessel to host him, and he finds a perfect one in Lex.  Clark fails to keep Zod from possessing Lex, and from being banished to the Phantom Zone.  With Metropolis in full chaos and Zod/Lex with no none to stop him, what happens now? ARROW Season 2×09, “Three Ghosts” recap

arrow-00002Welcome back, Arrow-heads, and boy, we got a lot to cover before we get started here. Let’s start with the island flashbacks as our group gets to that sub with the super-serum, and injects Slade with it to save his life…which seems to kill him instead. Things in the present aren’t as rosy either, with Ollie discovering a plot to make more of this compound (that he swears is completely destroyed) with one of Brother Blood’s test subjects doing the grunt work. After telling Roy to back off the bizarre deaths that he knows are being caused by the super-serum’s failures, Ollie traces Blood’s henchman to a storage facility, and promptly gets left for dead. Good thing Felicity has been making cute with visiting forensic guy Barry Allen, because she has him abducted to help a dying Ollie. How does that turn out?

Welcome back, Arrow-heads!  So, in case you missed last episode (and really, reading this recap before doing that is on you), Sara, Laurel’s sister who supposedly died five odd years ago is very much alive, and fighting crime in Starling City!  This would be shocking news for us and for Oliver, except for that little thing he neglected to mention about Sara being on the island and thinking after a fatal encounter, she was for reals dead.  She doesn’t want to reveal herself to her family, but with Laurel turning into a pill popper and that pesky mystery league of killers wanting to bring her back into their club, its good money that plan probably won’t last.  So, let’s get into it… Continue reading →

Welcome back, Arrow-heads!  So, last time we were in Starling City, Laurel had survived an attack from Hentai-man, I mean, the Dollmaker and Ollie got saved from Laurel by that mystery blonde vigilante.  Plus, the show has a legit guy with the last name of Blood running around.  And in our flashbacks, Slade is on fire…as in his face and hands are burning, while past Ollie gets locked up on what seems to be a gritty reimagining of The Love Boat.  Let’s see if the Isaac on this ship has some wonderful cocktails to serve us while I recap this episode, huh?
