The Smallville season 7 minicaps apologize for the delay. Hopefully Bizarro Smallville season 7 minicaps didn’t mess things up too badly while it was here.

Stewart here…

Its all bad news on the Smallville front.  Clark’s finding out what happened while Bizarro Clark had assumed his identity (well, besides schumpting Lana), but not that Bizarro Clark was recently in contact with a reassembled Brainiac.  Kara has been found, but doesn’t remember who she is, but Lex is willing to help her find out.  Speaking of Lex, he’s murdered Grant, the clone of his already dead brother, and something regarding a thing called Veritas is popping up.  We’ll get more on Veritas here, so let’s go… Continue reading

arrow-00002

Welcome back, Arrow-heads! Covering this recent season of Arrow, I thought it would fun to go back and review the season as a whole.  To make it easier, I thought I’d follow the formula with the look back on season one, and point out the good and bad of season two.  So, let’s start with the good: Continue reading

Television Graveyard- plot 8, The Gates

19 May

One of the great things about the end of the “normal” TV season is that it gives a chance to sit back and enjoy, via Hulu or Netflix, a show that ended years ago or that you may have missed. In my case, I have been enjoying a short lived supernatural series from 2010- The Gates.

arrow-00002

Welcome back, Arrow-heads!  Well, here’s what we need to remember before we get to this last episode of the season: Starling City’s under siege by Slade’s supermen, Sebastian Blood’s dead, Ollie has the Mirakuru cure, and none of this may matter if Amanda Waller’s drone strike on the city happens in a few hours! A PENNY DREADFUL premiere review for your thoughts

Stewart here…

Being so busy watching other quality shows, I rarely have time to indulge in finding new ones.  So, when I was informed that Showtime put up the first episode of Penny Dreadful, their new supernatural series online for nada, I thought it would be worth a look.  Now, I had heard about it over the last year, mostly because of its talent behind it: Sam Mendes and John Logan, director and writer respectively of the recent James Bond movie, Skyfall (and the follow-up due around 2015), with Logan the main writer of the show.  But up until the time of hearing the premiere was available to watch, did not much about it. Comic-Caps-Invincible

Robert Kirkman – Writer, Letterer
Cory Walker – Penciler, Inker
Ryan Ottley –  Penciler, Inker
Bill Crabtree – Colourist

Official Synopsis
Mark Grayson is just like most everyone his age. He’s a senior at a normal American high school. He has a crappy part time job after school and on weekends. He likes girls quite a bit but quite doesn’t understand them. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and sleeping late on Saturdays (at least until the good cartoons come on). The only difference between Mark and everyone else his age is that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, and as of late, he seems to be inheriting his father’s powers.

But that’s only the beginning of Marks problems.

ARROW Season 2×22, “Streets of Fire” recap

7 May

Welcome back, Arrow-heads!  So the proverbial crap has hit the proverbial fan.  Ollie’s in a bit of a funk after Moira’s death, but gets put right by Team Arrow and…Laurel?  Yeah, she gives him enough motivation to get back to the hood wearing to take down Sebastian Blood and that Mirakuru-army of his.  And then Team Arrow gets sidetracked in a few ways: Ollie and Laurel being trapped in the tunnels below Starling City; Felicity getting a call from STAR Labs about that Mirakuru cure; and Diggle facing off against a really ticked off Isabel.  And things get worse with Blood’s army laying siege to places like Quentin’s precinct house and the train station where Thea is, while the army makes its way into town.  Ruh-Roh!
