SMALLVILLE Minicaps / Season 1, Eps. 1-4

The beginning of the Smallville minicaps! No need to start singing the theme music…

A brief introduction: I’ve always been a Superman fan. Yeah, he was a Boy Scout in tights, but he was also one of the more interesting characters in comic-dom to me. You got the immigrant boy who is sent to a land foreign to him, who then grows up with values and moral decency to become that strange land’s hero. Kind of inspiring to read something like that, and if that college-esque dissection didn’t do that for you, there’s the thrill of seeing someone fly and fight bad guys. Continue reading →

FARSCAPE Revisited Mini-caps / The Peacekeeper Wars

Takin’ it to the limit (with the Farscape minicaps) one more time…

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Greetings fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, to the final (for the foreseeable future) mini-cap of Farscape. So, after a multitude of factors (like ratings), some of which couldn’t be seen coming (like lack of money), Farscape left the airwaves after four seasons. But loyal fans wanted to see the show come back (or at least get wrapped up properly), and their wishes got answered a year later, with the announcement of a miniseries in The Peacekeeper Wars. Its one of the rare occasions where the fans were able to drum up the need for more of what they want after the supposed death bell rang. Continue reading →

Hey, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, its time for another round of mini-caps on the fourth and final season of Farscape. So, we got some tension on Moya this season with Scorpius being a helpful if slightly suspicious traveler on the Leviathan, and Crichton has been having some tension with Aeryn. Not that she’s trying to patch things up, but between his taking some alien version of Ritalin and his growing wormhole zen, that’s a long way to go. Fairy Tales are just not the same anymore…

So in my recent binge of Syfy channel films, I’ve taken to finally watching the channel’s versions of the fairy tales/fantasies- Tin Man, Alice, and Neverland. I’ve stated a few times that I’m not big on things that are altered from the original. Why change a good story? Or song? But every once in a while I give these things a chance.
