Welcome back! Time for another regular (fingers crossed) recap of Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. So let’s start that out with…

Welcome back, Arrowheads! The explosion at Lian Yu certainly left a few marks on Team Arrow, with Ollie’s baby mama dying and Thea being laid out in a coma. And there’s plenty of change besides that, like Ollie now adding raising his son William among the list of things to juggle in his life, and Diggle hiding some injury that is affecting his job. But the Team has a more pressing and unexpected problem: someone has leaked a photo of Ollie in the Green Arrow getup to the press! Continue reading
AND welcome back, Arrowheads! Last season saw a lot of drama happen, as Oliver Queen became the new mayor of Star City. I mean, there was drama regarding budget plans, gun control, how to revitalize the city, and…what else? Oh yeah, a maniac called Prometheus, hiding in Ollie’s own midst as District Attorney Adrian Chase, was waging a physical and psychological vendetta against Ollie and Team Arrow. This lead to a big showdown between Team Arrow and Prometheus on the island of Lian Yu, and Ollie saving his son. Of course, this doesn’t save the Team, his friends, and his baby momma as Prometheus kills himself, setting off hundreds of bombs on the island’s surface! So who survived this mess? Read on…
Welcome back friends! Well, actually, you guys didn’t go anywhere. And most of us didn’t go anywhere. But HQ did.
For the last 3 years, NerdLush HQ has been in a small country town in central California after starting out in Los Angeles. Well, spontaneously… HQ moved to a larger city in central California (our Stewart and my hometown, actually). And when I say spontaneously I mean the idea of possibly doing it existed but the reality happened really fast, and with no one knowing. Special thanks to our pal Bethany for helping us out with that SDCC post in the midst of move time.
So now that HQ is mostly unpacked (and by mostly I mean that the DVDs are out of their boxes but 50% of the rest of the stuff is still boxed up) it’s time to get back to work.
Stewart is back to posting. ✔
I’ve got the last two movies for my alphabet series out and waiting to be watched. ✔
And now it’s time to open our doors and see who out there wants to come join us as posters! We are looking for anyone who wants to share posts about nerdy, geeky fun. Anything from TV, movies, books, music, events, or even special posts (like this one). All that we ask is a commitment to make at least one post a month. If you think this is something you can do and you want to play with us, we would love to chat! Drop a line to nerdlush@gmail.com with the subject line “pick me pick me pick me!!” so that we know you coming to us from this post and not one of the strange, random paid bloggers who seek us out. Hope to hear from some of you!
Also, wondering what new series of TV y’all are looking forward to this fall? Personally, I cannot wait for The Orville, but then I have a weird love for Seth MacFarlane. I’m trying to decide if I want to review it regularly or not. Thoughts?

Another summer of big budget popcorn entertainment is about to come and go, and despite the middling box office, it was a summer full of some quality movies. So in order to talk about this in further detail, let’s break down the best of this summer’s movies into categories:
(And yes, SPOILERS ahead…) Continue reading

My NerdLush boss and I had a bizarre quandary to solve: an X-titled film none of us have seen. There is the X-Men movies, the X-Files movies, heck, even the xXx movies that we have seen. On the latter end, I was almost ready to bite the bullet and see the new xXx film for here (I ultimately did for a future post in my own blog, but that’s a story for another time), until I realized there is one X-titled movie I know neither of us have seen, but as I asked politely to fill in, I’ll talk about it. And no, it is not Xanadu (I got hard lines in the sand I refuse to cross, and that’s one). That movie is the recent horror anthology XX!
