It’s been a while since I did this particular recap series (abruptly so), which focuses on the other DC shows on the CW that aren’t Arrow. These will be way briefer than the regular Arrow recaps here, and with that, let’s get to it by covering the season premieres of Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. Let’s start with… Continue reading →

Welcome back to another DC TV Round-Up! This time around, I thought we should change things up a bit and give Arrow a break from this column (its not like we don’t cover that show its own here already), which leaves a hole to check out some of the other non-CW related shows that are DC related. So besides the regular talk about The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, this week we’ll take a look at the premiere of the not so serious NBC workplace/superhero related comedy Powerless. So let’s start there… Continue reading →

Welcome to the first official installment of the DC TV Recap Round-up! If you read last week’s winter break recap, we are back to regularly scheduled programming. Obviously Arrow is covered in greater detail on this site, but we’ll briefly discuss that before jumping into returning favorites like The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. So… Continue reading →

Welcome back! In case you haven’t been following The Flash and Arrow this week, we have reached the end of a massive DCTV crossover as all our heroes face aliens known as the Dominators. Things have been dicey since the new super team has had to contend with mind controlled allies, and some of their non-metahuman players (like most of Team Arrow) being abducted. But as Ollie and company have escaped the clutches of the Dominators with the help of the Waverider, we learn we got bigger problems. Those problems being some Dominator superweapon is almost complete and they are making their way to Earth! For our heroes on this show, one big reveal is thanks to Stein’s talk to his past self, he now has a daughter! Can our heroes stop the aliens? Well, yes, obviously, but let’s see how. Welcome back, Arrowheads! So let’s just put away all the drama of Prometheus and Vigilante and all that for this week, and let’s talk about what happened to most of Team Arrow in The Flash literally yesterday. First off, Earth is being invaded by not so pleasant aliens known as the Dominators, and just about every hero related to The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. Heck, we get a legitimate Supergirl to join the festivities! As our team was just getting to the assembling part, Ollie, Thea, Diggle, Sara, and Ray are beamed away by the aliens to…well, where did they go? Continue reading →

Welcome back! Previously: our time traveling heroes finally settled on a new captain with Sara, since it seems Rip is going to be harder to find than they thought. Nate gets injured and has to be injected with some super-serum that saves his life, and who knows what else. With all that settled, the team can get out of the Justice Society of America’s back and our of 1942. But, our Big Bad this season, the Reverse-Flash, decides to seek some revenge and murders the JSA’s Rex Tyler, who Vixen discovers, and she is not happy about this. How not happy is she? Let’s see for ourselves… Continue reading →

Welcome back! When we last left our heroes, they had managed to stop the Nazis from blowing up New York in World War II. But in the process, their captain, Rip Hunter, disappeared somewhere or maybe somewhen. But they do have some new help in good-looking historian guy Nate Heywood. And the source of the recent abberations in the timestream is a secret alliance between Damien Darhk and someone who knows about time travel, Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash! Before our team can leave 1942 in their rearview, they get accosted by the superhero team known as the Justice Society of America! One superteam meets another superteam? No worries, then? Welcome back! Last season, our dysfunctional team of time-traveling heroes had managed to defeat the immortal Vandal Savage, and by proxy of blowing up things, became de facto guardians of the timestream. That mission gets delayed by the arrival of a man called Rex Tyler, a member of the Justice Society of America, who warns them they are in danger if they continue on. What danger, you ask? Well, we waited awhile, so let’s find out! Continue reading →

Ventured towards California’s coast over the weekend to attend the 2nd Heroes and Villains Fan Fest (HVFF) in San Jose. This is a convention that has been growing steadily since its first event a year and a half/two years ago. It was a good weekend- not perfect- and something we’d love to check out again.
