Welcome back, Arrowheads! With the title of this episode, maybe we should start this recap by asking: what do we know about Felicity Smoak? She’s a computer prodigy, possibly Jewish, and has a mom who’s a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas. As you can expect, we’re about to learn a bit more about Team Arrow’s genius. Also unrelated to Ms. Smoak, Thea is running the Verdant again, Laurel is taking to training to vent her anger, and why should we be concerned about Roy’s sleep trouble? Continue reading

ARROW Season 3×04, “The Magician” recap
30 OctWelcome back, Arrowheads! Last time we left everyone, Ollie took a trip out of town to bring Thea back home, who was unknown to Ollie, being trained by noted psychopath Malcolm Merlyn. Malcolm let her go, but who knows what that means. Seriously, he’s crazy. This was a brief break from the ongoing mystery of Sara’s murder, which was still having ripples through everyone. Felicity had taken Ray Palmer’s job at Queen Consolidated, and Laurel attempted her own vigilante thing and asking for help in training, which got a major “NO” from Ollie and a “sure” from boxer Ted Grant. And just when Ollie was getting over the jet lag, Nyssa shows up wondering what happened to Sara. Oooooh, this is going to an uncomfortable talk…

ARROW Season 3×03, “Corto Maltese” recap
22 OctWelcome back, Arrowheads! Last time we were here, Team Arrow was searching for Sara’s killer, and despite stopping a deadly archer assassin, got no joy and not Sara’s killer. I suppose we’ll get to that eventually, but there’s other things to mention before we get to this episode. For instance, Laurel keeping Sara’s death a secret from dad (he has a heart condition!), Felicity taking Ray Palmer’s new high paying job, and Ollie finding out Thea’s not so much “on extended vacation”, but “just getting away from everyone”, and deciding to bring her home. I’m sure finding out about Thea will be nothing in comparison to when he finds out his baby sister is being taught to fight by Malcolm Merlyn! Yeah, the mass murderer and not dead Malcolm Merlyn! I smell an awkward reunion on the horizon… Continue reading →

ARROW Season 2 review
27 MayWelcome back, Arrow-heads! Covering this recent season of Arrow, I thought it would fun to go back and review the season as a whole. To make it easier, I thought I’d follow the formula with the look back on season one, and point out the good and bad of season two. So, let’s start with the good: Continue reading →

ARROW Season 2×23, “Unthinkable” recap
15 MayWelcome back, Arrow-heads! Well, here’s what we need to remember before we get to this last episode of the season: Starling City’s under siege by Slade’s supermen, Sebastian Blood’s dead, Ollie has the Mirakuru cure, and none of this may matter if Amanda Waller’s drone strike on the city happens in a few hours! Join us for a drink… OTP – Olicity, Arrow, and More!
5 MayOTP – or One True Pairing – is a fandom term used to denote pairings fans believe are the best couples. This occurs throughout fandom mediums – television shows, books, movies…even “real life people”. In most fandoms, there are fanfics that are written by the fans in order to tell a story, the way they see fit. To be honest, some of the fics are quite well-written with compelling stories. Others… not so much (off-topic, but recently there was an announcement of a “One Direction” fanfic that was being published… excerpts of the book were released as well… it was painful drivel). But these fics also allow for fans to have their OTP as they see fit… something that may go against what the writers of a show or the author of a book series may want (for now anyway).
