So with the return of PRISON BREAK for a nine episode run this month, it seemed like a good time to explore where this show has been and where it may go from its four season run. I got interested in the show around its first season, being a fan of shows like 24, which were ambitious for network TV. And this had a interesting premise: a show centered around a prison escape, that would cap off its season with said escape. Welcome back! Previously: our time traveling heroes finally settled on a new captain with Sara, since it seems Rip is going to be harder to find than they thought. Nate gets injured and has to be injected with some super-serum that saves his life, and who knows what else. With all that settled, the team can get out of the Justice Society of America’s back and our of 1942. But, our Big Bad this season, the Reverse-Flash, decides to seek some revenge and murders the JSA’s Rex Tyler, who Vixen discovers, and she is not happy about this. How not happy is she? In the case of this post, I was watching the Legends of Tomorrow repeat last week and was reminded that before Prison Break, Dominic Purcell had another TV show on FOX, John Doe.

It’s season finale time, and the team has had to contend with some major reveals, like how they’ve been manipulated by the Time Masters to help Vandal Savage secure a place of power on Earth. That manipulation was to stop an alien invasion in the future, but it also went further, into Rip’s superiors ordering the death of his family! To stick it to the Time Dicks, Snart sacrifices himself to destroy their ability to look into the timeline. That still leaves Kendra and Carter prisoner of Savage, on board his own timeship.
