Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 4, Eps. 1-4

29 May
The Stargate SG-1 Season Two Minicaps only used that extra Gate once, and it was for business purposes only.

The Stargate SG-1 Season Four Minicaps is busy fumigating itself based on a Replicator infestation.

Stewart here…

So last season ended with SG-1 getting to meet the current troubles of their allies, the Asgard. It’s the robot insects known as the Replicators, who assimilate technology and, true to their name, replicate more of them. In order to keep a Replicator-infested Asgard ship from landing on Earth, the team sets it to burn up in Earth’s atmosphere. The team (minus Daniel, who’s bedridden and unable to enjoy the fun of fighting a new alien race) appears to have escaped the burning ship via Stargate, but for all their efforts, a Replicator survives the crash and is now on Earth! Where did the team end up, and will they be back in time in stop the Replicators from taking over the planet? Obviously, yes, but let’s see how we get there… Continue reading

Welcome back, Arrowheads, for this look at the good and bad of the third season of Arrow! Considering how much I enjoyed season two, would this season measure up? The short answer is: not really. The long answer we’ll start talking about below, beginning with the good points of season three: Continue reading

Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 3, Eps. 21-22 and Season Three Highlights

21 May
The Stargate SG-1 Season Two Minicaps only used that extra Gate once, and it was for business purposes only.

The Stargate SG-1 Season Three Minicaps likes to be notified in advance of a being beamed up to an alien ship. You know, to be polite and all.

Stewart here…

A lot has happened for the members of SG-1 this season. Daniel’s wife died, Skaara was saved, and their enemy Apophis came back from the dead, seemingly stronger than before. As bad as the Goa’uld System Lords have been, there still is one significant threat looming on the horizon, one the Asgard have apparently been occupied with, and one that will end up at SG-1’s front door… Continue reading

Some Thoughts on Season 2 of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD

17 May

Stewart here…

As I’ve discussed this season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD earlier in the year, I thought I’d discuss in various bullet points some random thoughts that crossed my mind while watching the season finale and reflecting on the season as a whole: Continue reading

Welcome back, Arrowheads, to the end of season three of Arrow! It’s been a long road of twists and turns, but here we are, as the Heir to the Demon, aka Al-Sah-him, aka The Arrow, aka Oliver Queen, is about to cement his place in the League of Assassins. He’s already been married off to a reluctant Nyssa, seemingly gassed his former teammates with a deadly virus, the same virus he fought to stop being unleashed in Hong Kong years ago, and now that he has to unleash on Starling City! Can all the lunacy, betrayals, and tragedy that have happened all season be solved in this season finale? Probably not, but let’s see what happens anyway…

Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 3, 17-20

11 May
The Stargate SG-1 Season Two Minicaps only used that extra Gate once, and it was for business purposes only.

The Stargate SG-1 Season Three Minicaps is all about getting that galactic bling-bling.

Stewart here…

The team recently separated Skaara from that Goa’uld parasite (good news) and now have to worry about the resurrection of longtime baddie Apophis (bad news). And then, there’s Daniel and his mission to find that Apophis spawn that may be crucial in fighting the bad guys. So, let’s just jump in…

The 2015 TV season is looking good~ Hail Hydra!

9 May

Congratulations to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter on being renewed. Season two of S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn’t even aired its finale yet, but I am already giddy for what season three will bring me.

Agents-of-SHIELD-Agent-Carter

Mind, if Agent Ward doesn’t get to be redeemed or returned to a more regular position in three, I will be wearing my cranky pants all year. Continue reading

7 May

Welcome back, Arrowheads! You’re back in time for the wedding no one expected (and all but Ra’s al Ghul didn’t want): the marriage of Oliver Queen aka Al Sah-him to Nyssa! Besides getting a VERY reluctant bride, afterwards, Ollie gets to have his honeymoon in Starling, where he’ll unleash the Alpha/Omega virus on his hometown! Meanwhile, Thea has found out Roy is alive, and Team Arrow is trying to move on without their fearless leader. You think they’re getting wedding invites? Continue reading

Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 3, Eps. 13-16

5 May
The Stargate SG-1 Season Two Minicaps only used that extra Gate once, and it was for business purposes only.

In retrospect, the Stargate SG-1 Season Three Minicaps should have booked its interplanetary travel at Hotels.com.

Stewart here…

While SG-1 has been exploring other worlds and making new friends (and enemies), they’ve had a few of their long term quests come to a head recently. Apophis died, and Sha’re as well, but she at least left Daniel a quest to find that special Goa’uld offspring (and let’s not forget the still missing Skaara/Klorel). But when we last left our heroes, they were on a mission to retrieve Jacob from a hellish prison planet run by System Lord Sokar. That plan goes sideways, leaving them trapped on the planet, prisoner of the big cheese of this prison…Apophis! Yeah, he’s alive and looking…well, he’s alive, and that’s what’s important as we get into another round of minicaps…

The good, the bad, and OMGSTOPTALKING of the internet

1 May

Recently the internet was in an uproar because the east coast cried out about an event that happened on Grey’s Anatomy. I don’t watch the show myself, but I knew from opening Facebook, well before the episode aired on the west coast, what had happened.

This happens ALL THE TIME. Continue reading
