FRINGE-y Things To Know — A FRINGE Primer

26 Sep

Stewart here…

First off, a big announcement: I’ll be recapping the final season of FRINGE exclusively here on NerdLush!  I’ll be keeping these recaps a little more informal than my usual reviews on A&V Stimuli, so expect them to start on September 29th, after the season premiere airs a day before.  Also, I’ll be covering HOMELAND and THE WALKING DEAD on my site this fall, so please check that out as well.  SO, with that out of way… Continue reading

Television Graveyard- plot 1, PREY

14 Sep

I have, in my collection of DVDs, a large number of old, short-lived, or maybe little remembered series. I might throw Firefly into this group, but if you call yourself a geek or a nerd, you ought to be familiar with that one. So I’m thinking that from time to time it might be fun to discuss one of these dearly departed television series. Not recaps, per se… just a wee post about them.

We’ll start with one from 1998- PREY

FARSCAPE Revisited Mini-caps / Season 2, Episodes 9-13

Guess who’s back? Back again? Farscape mincaps! Tell your friends!

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Well, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, its time for another round of mini-caps on Farscape.  Look, we got a lot of episodes to cover (I rather cover the 3-parter as a whole than split it up to stay in my regular 4 episode block I set up) so I’m assuming you are caught up (and more importantly, just re-read the previous installments).  Let’s Starburst in, shall we? The Great Trek Debate, chapter 1- Captain

2 Sep

I was raised, as loyal readers know, on classic Star Trek. So when a new series starts, you better believe I’m there watching. Of course, there hasn’t been a new one for a bit but series come out on Hulu and Netflix, as well as HD DVD releases all the time, so it’s a perfect time to catch up!

So as I began watching Enterprise on Amazon, I started thinking about some of the strengths of Star Trek. Let’s start these posts with a look at the captains. Continue reading

Theme music time! Farscape Season Two!

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Well, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, its time for another round of mini-caps on Farscape.  We’ve gotten to season two, and considering what happened at the end of season one, its good the wait between seasons is next to non-existent now, as opposed to when I watched the show for the first time, waiting MONTHS for a resolution for John and D’argo’s seemingly fatal spacewalk/setting a planet on fire stunt.  Of course, the big piece of trivia is the season was going to originally open with that particular plot point unresolved and focus on the remainder of Moya’s crew, but wiser heads prevailed (but that original season premiere would come back later on in the season).  Without further ado, let’s get to it, shall we? Theme music time! Still not dubstepped to the best of my knowledge…

Stewart here…and fair warning, some spoilers lie within…

Welcome back, fellow travelers of the Uncharted Territories, for another mini-cap on Farscape.  When last we left our crew of derelict prisoners, things got a little steamy between John and Aeryn, they picked up another prisoner in thief and likely cold-blooded killer Chiana, John got stranded and grew a bad beard (less said about that particular one the better), and he got to go home, albeit in a bizarre simulation by a race of aliens.  Of course, the last part turns out to be more eventful than even he knows, which leads us into the next batch of episodes… Continue reading

26 Jul

So the fifth season of TNT’s Leverage is off to a fine start and now that the hullabaloo of SDCC has died down, I can move on to discussing new topics- which translates to: I want to talk to y’all about my love for Leverage.
