ARROW Season 5×22, “Missing” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads! We’re on the tail end of the season, and it seems we are going out on a good note. The big bad of the season, Adrian Chase, has been captured and imprisoned, which I’m sure is a relief to everyone in Team Arrow. So I guess there’s no big city ending threat this season and the next two episodes is gonna be the gang just kicking back and enjoying some quiet time catching up with their favorite books or TV shows.

Marking the second movie in a month where Vin Diesel is in it, as well as Kurt Russell, and with the big subject of “family”, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has finally arrived! The first movie was a surprise to lot of filmgoers and critics who didn’t know from early previews what to make of this bizarre comic book sci-fi action movie, and with its equally shocking success, it seemed inevitable a sequel would be coming our way. Welcome back, Arrowheads! When last we left Team Arrow, they were still on the hunt for creepy ‘ol Prometheus, but they had some distractions of late. The big one being Felicity’s involvement with HELIX causing some friction between her and Ollie, and by happenstance, Diggle and Lyla over ARGUS’ recent activities. So with the return of PRISON BREAK for a nine episode run this month, it seemed like a good time to explore where this show has been and where it may go from its four season run. I got interested in the show around its first season, being a fan of shows like 24, which were ambitious for network TV. And this had a interesting premise: a show centered around a prison escape, that would cap off its season with said escape. Welcome back, Arrowheads! Previously, Ollie found himself prisoner of Adrian Chase/Prometheus, and got a lesson as to what kind of man he is, specifically a guy who probably enjoys murdering bad guys. This educational experience really messed with Ollie’s head, so much so that when he was let go by Adrian, he immediately went back to Arrow HQ to tell the Team he’s shutting down the operation. Welcome back, Arrowheads! Oliver and company had their fill of bad guy Prometheus, and so far, have no clue who this guy is. What they don’t know is our Big Bad for the season is Star City’s own District Attorney, Adrian Chase! This helpful yet mildly unstable public servant has a beef with Ollie, and may have another connection to Ollie’s past: being trained by the woman who helped him become the Hood, Talia Al Ghul! Meantime, Felicity is getting in deeper with the computer hacking group HELIX, and Ollie’s current girlfriend, Susan, may have just gotten herself in trouble with Adrian.
