SMALLVILLE Minicaps / Season 7, Eps. 5-8

The Smallville season 7 minicaps was found in Reeves Dam next to Kara's spaceship.

The Smallville season 7 minicaps is still trying to wrap its head around Lana being cloned and the clone being blown to pieces.  Really, that plot twist just came out of NOWHERE.

Everyone’s busy, busy, busy these days.  Clark’s helping his cousin Kara adjust to life on Earth, Chloe’s feeling let out because the new Daily Planet editor Grant Gabriel has taken a shine to Lois, and Lex is busy working on some big anti-alien defense, which I’m sure, there’s some creepy ulterior motive in that.  Then there’s Lana, who’s adjusting to life back in Smallville after that whole “faking her death with a cloned body Lex made, then blaming Lex for it” thing (never gets easier to write that) by setting up a group to help meteor freaks.  She also is creepily monitoring Lex’s mansion and responsible for another thing we’re going to get to right about…now… Continue reading →

Why I adore Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

It’s no secret that I am a fan of all things Whedon and Marvel, nor is it a secret that when I saw the pilot ep for S.H.I.E.L.D. at San Diego Comic Con 2013 I may have squee’d like a crazy puppy (ask my brother). But like others, I drifted over the next few episodes after the premiere last fall. I mean… I was still in for the season, but I didn’t feel the energy that I felt with the pilot.

At the end of a rocky last season, things were looking up for Clark.  Lana knew his secret and was all cool with it, Chloe was coming to terms with her meteor powers and her relationship with Jimmy, and the Phantom Zone escapees were all but found.  But we ended this season on everything going straight into the toilet.  Lana gets in a car explosion, Lex is arrested for her murder, Chloe saves a fatally injured Lois at the cost of her ending up near dead, and the last Phantom takes the form of Clark.  Did I mention almost all of this happens at the local dam, which is coming apart?  Let’s see how everyone gets out of this mess… Continue reading →

arrow-00002Welcome back, Arrow-heads!  What you need to know: Moira Queen is being set up to run against Sebastian Blood for mayor of Starling City, but needs to make sure certain things stay quiet, like Thea being her and Malcolm Merlyn’s love baby.  Sara Lance has reappeared, being on the run from the League of Assassins, to supposedly help a really out of it Laurel, who’s been on hard times since getting fired from the DA’s office and maybe losing her law license.  Sara finds Laurel rather disoriented, but seeing that someone slipped a liquid into Laurel’s drinks earlier, I’m sure something else is going on here.  We got a lot of ground to cover, so let’s go… Continue reading →

Welcome back, Arrow-heads!  Sebastian Blood’s running for mayor and has just removed one problem in Laurel Lance.  Now she’s revealed to be a pill-popper and been fired from the DA’s office.  Also, Roy’s attempt to be a vigilante ends badly, which leaves Ollie as Arrow with one option: train him to control his super-anger.  After all, he did so well with Slade when he got the Mirakuru in him.  You know, the guy who’s missing an eye and nursing a serious hard-on for revenge against Ollie.  Oh right, that’s not good.  Sooo….
