Welcome back! So you already know the gist: rogue Time Master Rip Hunter has enlisted a team of your favorite supporting players from Arrow and The Flash to stop an immortal madman called Vandal Savage. Well, their first big encounter with Savage ended badly, with Carter (Hawkman) getting killed and Kendra (Hawkgirl) being seriously injured. Oh, and they are currently unable to leave 1975 due to damage to the Waverider time ship. Well, what to do? Continue reading

Legends of Tomorrow, “Pilot, Part 2” recap

Welcome back! So in the first half of this first episode, rogue Time Master Rip Hunter recruited a group of heroes and villains (White Canary, Atom, Firestorm, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Captain Cold, and Heatwave) to join him on a mission to stop super bad guy Vandal Savage before he takes over the world. What he neglects to tell them is that this mission isn’t authorized by his superiors, and they were picked because if they died, they wouldn’t radically affect the timeline. Well, after hearing that, they are determined to use this mission to make themselves…legends! Duh duh de duh! Continue reading

Legends of Tomorrow, “Pilot, Part 1” recap

23 Jan

20160121-212616.jpg

So, welcome to the recap of the first episode of Legends of Tomorrow! What do you need to know? Um, well if you’ve been watching Arrow and The Flash regularly, chances are you noticed this season the attention on several characters not necessarily part of the core groups of both shows. Really, I could explain it all, but we still got a lot of story here to cover, so let’s jump into it, okay? Continue reading

Welcome back, Arrowheads! Damien Darhk and HIVE have been trying to lay waste to Star City this season, and have been running into delays as Team Arrow have been getting close to taking out these baddies. But with Ollie refusing to side himself or his mayoral campaign with Darhk, it looks like things are going to get harder for Ollie in and out of the mask. Continue reading

ARROW Season 4×07 recap, “Brotherhood”

20151005-020437.jpg

Welcome back, Arrowheads! It’s a big “Everyone’s Coming Back From The Dead Party” this season. Sara came back a while ago, and guess who came back from the dead (well, he was declared legally dead, so that counts)? Ray Palmer, who spent months playing Ant-Man. I suppose at this rate Moira Queen will rise from her grave before Tommy Merlyn does. However, we got some other things to deal with: like fighting HIVE and Diggle finding out the truth that his brother may have had a really shady past before he got killed. If there was only some way to solve Dig’s unresolved issues while tying into the Everyone’s Coming Back From The Dead Party. Hmmm… Continue reading

ARROW Season 4×06 recap, “Lost Souls”

11 Nov

20151005-020437.jpg

Welcome back, Arrowheads! To prove no one stays dead forever (unless you’re not a superhero like Moira Queen), Sara’s back and spent a bit missing her soul. Well that was easily remedied, although the same may not be said for Ray Palmer. Oh yeah, he survived that explosion at the end of season three, and needs Felicity’s help! So let’s jump in…

Welcome back, Arrowheads, for this look at the good and bad of the third season of Arrow! Considering how much I enjoyed season two, would this season measure up? The short answer is: not really. The long answer we’ll start talking about below, beginning with the good points of season three: Continue reading

13 May

Welcome back, Arrowheads, to the end of season three of Arrow! It’s been a long road of twists and turns, but here we are, as the Heir to the Demon, aka Al-Sah-him, aka The Arrow, aka Oliver Queen, is about to cement his place in the League of Assassins. He’s already been married off to a reluctant Nyssa, seemingly gassed his former teammates with a deadly virus, the same virus he fought to stop being unleashed in Hong Kong years ago, and now that he has to unleash on Starling City! Can all the lunacy, betrayals, and tragedy that have happened all season be solved in this season finale? Probably not, but let’s see what happens anyway…

7 May

Welcome back, Arrowheads! You’re back in time for the wedding no one expected (and all but Ra’s al Ghul didn’t want): the marriage of Oliver Queen aka Al Sah-him to Nyssa! Besides getting a VERY reluctant bride, afterwards, Ollie gets to have his honeymoon in Starling, where he’ll unleash the Alpha/Omega virus on his hometown! Meanwhile, Thea has found out Roy is alive, and Team Arrow is trying to move on without their fearless leader. You think they’re getting wedding invites? Continue reading

ARROW Season 3×21, “Al Sah-him” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads! So previously, Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak finally had sex. Yes, I know this is a great thing for shippers, and a questionable plot move (like most of them this season) for many critics. On the other hand, its good to finally get that tension and wishy-washiness both of them have had all season put aside to have that brief break from all this lunacy together. Oh, and in order to save a dying Thea using Ra’s magic health hot tub, Ollie had to finally take that offer to be the next head of the League of Assassins. The main takeaway of this is Ollicity sex, everyone.
