Welcome back, Arrowheads! Quentin Lance really needs to take a break. Look at what he had to contend with last episode: finding out his daughter Sara’s alive (if slightly crazy), having Ollie discover his alliance with Damien Darhk, and to help redeem him, Ollie makes him a double agent to report on Darhk. It’s a good thing he hasn’t heard Sara has escaped from her basement prison in Laurel’s apartment building. Also, what’s with Ray Palmer’s hidden message to Felicity? Continue reading
Groovy! A Review of the first episode of Ash Vs. Evil Dead!
3 NovStewart here…
One of my formative experiences in life may have been my exposure to the Evil Dead movies. Oddly enough, it came through the third movie, Army of Darkness, which lead me back to the original and eventually Evil Dead 2 (the best of all three). I even enjoyed the recent remake (maybe connected to the original based on that little teaser in the end credits), so when hearing of a new cable series on Starz that would follow the events of the original trilogy, Ash vs. Evil Dead, I had reservations. Oh, not that I thoroughly doubted this whole endeavor, especially knowing Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi were on board, but a series? Really? Continue reading
Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 6, Eps. 21-22 and Season Six Highlights
20 Oct

The Stargate SG-1 Season Six Minicaps is waiting to get Ascended anytime now. It thinks its earned it by now.
Stewart here…
Last time: SG-1 has been contending all season with the threat with Anubis, a System Lord with some “unusual” powers and past. Then there’s Daniel Jackson, who has Ascended, but seems to be hanging around the SGC more than you think. Since its season finale time here, its clear we’re going to see a lot of stuff set up this season boil over, but the how and how bad? Let’s find out…
A SPOILER-filled review of THE MARTIAN
18 Oct
WARNING: If you haven’t read or seen The Martian, seriously, stop reading until you do because there are SPOILERS. You were warned.
Stewart here…
As I assume most of you readers have gotten around to seeing The Martian and/or read the book, this will be a fairly point-by-point review of my thoughts on the movie. So fair warning.
ARROW Season 4×02, “The Candidate” recap
15 Oct
Welcome back, Arrowheads! Ollie and Felicity head back to Star City after playing happy suburban couple for a while. What they’ve come back to is a reticent Diggle, a slightly vicious Thea, and a new threat in HIVE, led by the not quite human Damien Darhk. Darhk wants to lay waste to the city, and has help…in a maybe reluctant Quentin! Also in the flashback portion of our tour, Ollie gets picked up by Amanda Waller and sent on a secret mission to a familiar haunt…Lian Yu! Also, someone will be in a grave six months down the road. But let’s get to this episode, shall we? Continue reading
Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 6, Eps. 17-20
10 Oct

The Stargate SG-1 Season Six Minicaps is not interested in some DNA re-sequencing to help it get into shape. Nope, too risky. Going to straight up HGH to do the job.
Stewart here…
Last time, we got teased with the possibility of longtime SG-1 nemesis Senator Kinsey getting assassinated, although that turned out to be a ruse to weed out a way more corrupt end of the way corrupt NID. Way to let us down, show. Well Kinsey reappears in this round of Minicaps, so maybe there’s some hope from this creep’s demise, huh? Read on to see if I’m proven right…
ARROW Season 4×01 recap, “Green Arrow”
8 OctWelcome back from the summer, Arrowheads! As you remember from last season, Oliver Queen decided to leave town with new girlfriend Felicity and rediscover himself (and after the convoluted mess of last season, who would blame him), leaving Starling City in the capable hands of his hero buddies. Since we haven’t had a title change, how is it that Ollie ends up fighting crime once again? Continue reading
Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 6, Eps. 13-16

The Stargate SG-1 Season Six Minicaps is a riddle wrapped inside an enigma inside O’Neill’s fishing gear.
Stewart here…
Last time: the SGC had an impromptu test run of their new hybrid spaceship, the Prometheus, and by “impromptu”, I mean it was hijacked. Before SG-1 could rest from recovering the ship, the Asgard popped by, needing their help to stop the Replicators on the Asgard homeworld. After setting off a time dilation device that stuck the Replicators seemingly for good, I guess it’s time for some rest and relaxation. Well, how does that go in this round of Minicaps? Continue reading
