ARROW Season 4×02, “The Candidate” recap

Welcome back, Arrowheads! Ollie and Felicity head back to Star City after playing happy suburban couple for a while. What they’ve come back to is a reticent Diggle, a slightly vicious Thea, and a new threat in HIVE, led by the not quite human Damien Darhk. Darhk wants to lay waste to the city, and has help…in a maybe reluctant Quentin! Also in the flashback portion of our tour, Ollie gets picked up by Amanda Waller and sent on a secret mission to a familiar haunt…Lian Yu! Also, someone will be in a grave six months down the road. Last time, we got teased with the possibility of longtime SG-1 nemesis Senator Kinsey getting assassinated, although that turned out to be a ruse to weed out a way more corrupt end of the way corrupt NID. Stargate SG-1 Minicaps / Season 6, Eps. 13-16

Last time: the SGC had an impromptu test run of their new hybrid spaceship, the Prometheus, and by “impromptu”, I mean it was hijacked. Before SG-1 could rest from recovering the ship, the Asgard popped by, needing their help to stop the Replicators on the Asgard homeworld. After setting off a time dilation device that stuck the Replicators seemingly for good, I guess it’s time for some rest and relaxation. Well, how does that go in this round of Minicaps? The Stargate SG-1 Season Six Minicaps only gets voicemail from Daniel Jackson. No FaceTime, just voicemail. Jerk.

A quick recap: SG-1 started out this season on a few changes. One, they had to get a new Stargate on account of Anubis making the other one explode; two, they got a new team member in Jonas, a defector from an alien world; and three, Teal’c’s wife died. Some rough times to be sure, but not as horrifying as losing Daniel Jackson. Speaking of that, how has he been since he Ascended? And how is O’Neill faring since he had to get a symbiote put in him to save his life? Let’s get that and more answers right now…

Their comrade, Daniel Jackson, got Ascended, so he’s not going to be joining us (for a while). They got a Bigger Bad in Anubis, a creepy System Lord who’s laying waste to SG-1’s allies. Just last time, the team saved the Asgard, Thor, from Anubis’ clutches, only to have him end up comatose. And they also have an alien, Jonas Quinn, who defected to their side now living in the SGC.
