Have to switch gears after last weeks film and get something light and fluffy… Dreamworks Home fit the bill!
Synopsis: The Boov, while running from the Gorg, come to Earth to live (transplanting all humans to Human City). Oh, a really annoying but endearingly sweet and innocent Boov, ends up on the wrong side of his species doing a “send all” evite mistake. He follows the Boov motto, “it is never too late to run away”, and meets up with Tip and her cat, Pig, who are desperate to find her mother… whackiness ensues.
Why I chose this film: I like Jim Parsons. I also like animated fat, cats who vibrate (purr).
Will I watch it again: I can pretty much guarantee it. I thought this movie was cute and the dialogue entertaining. Steve Martin as the leader of the running away… I mean, he does the “King Tut” dance from Martin’s SNL days! I really liked that the Boov learned a lesson. And it was cute how the Boov’s moods were all over their skin- like cuttlefish.
Why you should watch it too (or run far away!): If you haven’t seen this yet, it’s really cute.
What do you think?
