Giving Thanks

Today in the United States is a day set aside as a day to give thanks and be with family and friends. As I firmly believe you should be thankful everyday, I prefer to take Thanksgiving as a time spent with family. However, I wanted to take a few minutes to make a list of some of the many things I am thankful for-

*I am thankful for each member of the NerdLush crew and all the life they bring to this site.

*I am thankful for each and every fan and visitor. YOU are why we continue to do this.

*I am thankful for the many friends I have met through fandoms.

*I am thankful for TV that makes me want the next episode as soon as the current episode ends.

*I am thankful for music. New, old, loud, peaceful…

*I am thankful for getting to see something I love with someone who has never seen it before and getting to experience it through their eyes.

*I am thankful for the joy of splashing through puddles because I can.

*I am thankful for cat memes.

*I am thankful for jellyfish. Because reasons.

*I am thankful for sunset.

*I am thankful for blog posts that make you tear up because you just get everything the author is saying.

*I am thankful for Nathan Fillion. Because reasons.

*I am thankful for finally getting to see Much Ado About Nothing. Love Joss’s interpretation of one of my favorite plays.

*I am thankful for there being no Twilight panel at SDCC this year.

*I am thankful for how connected Stephen Amell tries to be with his fans.

*I am thankful for cookies.

*I am thankful for interaction with “fans”/friends on the NerdLush twitter and Facebook pages. Though… comments on the actual site would make me sing your praises… just saying.

*I am thankful for the smell of books.

*I am thankful for everything I’ve learned about psychology.

*I am thankful for footie pajamas.

*I am thankful for my “sexy Wolverine” and all the laughs that followed.

*I am thankful for seeing my name in the credits of a film. That was so cool.

*I am thankful for knowing back roads so I can avoid most Los Angeles traffic.

*I am thankful for Gizmo and Wicket and all the joy they bring me.

*I am thankful for Stewart. For everything.

*I am thankful for adventures with Emily.

*I am thankful for laughs with DeeDee.

*I am thankful for naughty squee with Natasha.

*I am thankful for science and space and everything that we can learn.
