Dusting Off The Shelf: Letter K

14 Mar

So… I have to recover from last weeks awful piece of dreck… the palette cleanser of choice is Keanu. For obvious reasons. Or what I would call “obvious reasons”…

Synopsis: Rell is having a rough life until he opens the door to a tiny kitten who changes everything. Until Keanu, the kitten, is stolen by drug dealers and Rell and his cousin, Clarence, go on an insane adventure to get him back.

Why I chose this film: This is a movie about a cat. If you know me, you know why I choose this. If not, let’s just say… I like cats. Also, I love Keanu Reeves. So… it’s pretty obvious why this movie made it into my collection.

My favorite minion, Stewart, will be appalled to know that I’ve never seen any episodes of Key & Peele. So, it was totally the cat that I was here for. And that cat was cute.

Will I watch it again: By no means is this my usual film, but it falls in the group with the Harold & Kumar movies and I adore them. So… yeah, probably. Ok, most definitely. Shut up, I have no shame.

Anyways, one thing I really enjoyed was the secondary cast- Method Man, Anna Faris, Luis Guzman… Also, using the “Allentown Brothers” story was cliche, but worked for this piece. I’m chuckling just thinking about it right now.

Why you should watch it too (or run far away!): I laughed, probably more than I should, and if you like to laugh too… then give it a go. Also, the cat is so damn cute I want to give it all the snuggles in the world. All of them.

What do you think?
