Whoa! Pilot Season already?!?! Time Flies!

I’ve been trying to follow the pilots that were announced to see if there were any that I’d be interested in for the fall. I don’t think any of my series are ending this year so there isn’t a lot of free space for new shows, but I do like to try things out. Now that the networks have announced their schedules and the upfronts have happened, let’s take a peek at which shows I’m hoping are worth my time in the fall. I’d love to hear which shows you’re interested in…

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Oh, come on, you knew that was going to be my #1. I’m a frickin’ Joss fan! Also, my fav movies of the last few years have been the superhero flicks. So the chance to enjoy a weekly series about the crew that’s behind the scenes on all those super hero saves? And comes from the Whedon clan? Um… count me in! Plus, I gotta admit, there’s the bonus fun of J. August Richards. Though his role is still being determined by the rumor mill as J. et al aren’t saying. Grrrrr.

The Tomorrow People.

OK… I’m not saying yes to this one. However, it is from Greg Berlanti- who is behind Arrow and Smallville– so it’ll likely fall in to the style of things I enjoy watching. But this isn’t a new concept and I’ve seen other shows/films with this basic storyline- generation of people begin mutating into the next evolution, essentially- that I loved. It’ll be hard to compete. But like I said, I’ll give it a try.

Almost Human.

This is on FOX so I don’t expect I’ll actually get a chance to watch much before the network kills it but… it is the new JJ Abrams, and he’s consistently provided good (or at least interesting) television. Additionally, as my brother says, “Karl Urban chews scenary”. And who doesn’t love that? Seriously… I could pretty much watch Urban in anything.

Sleepy Hollow.

Another FOX series that will not last long, but I’m intrigued based on the trailer. To be honest, the graphic of the horsemen holding a fully automatic weapon is actually what got me- but I’m a little strange. My beloved Clancy Brown apparently doesn’t make it through the pilot ep. Sad face. But… this could be interesting for a few episodes. They’re going to need a secondary topic or it’s going to get boring fast. Just saying.

The Michael J. Fox Show.

Now I’ll be honest, I had no interest at all in this one til I watched the trailer. Will my interest last past the first episode? I don’t know. I have always loved MJF, though.
