After stopping Apophis’ invasion plans for Earth, it seems everything’s back to normal for Stargate Command and respectively, SG-1. They’ve ran into a rebel Goa’uld, been trapped in a virtual reality, and accidentally released a criminal back into the galaxy. That last thing is clearly something SG-1 would not like on their highlight reel. So, let’s see what the team is up to now… Continue reading

So at the end of season one, we had SG-1 go rogue and end up on one of Apophis’ Goa’uld pyramid ships on its way to Earth. Add to that Skarra is now Apophis’ son, Klorel, and O’Neill having to kill him, the trouble keeps piling up as Apophis and his invasion force are about to start their invasion. So how will this go down for the outmanned and outgunned SG-1? Well, let’s jump into season two and find out… Continue reading

We’ve been spending this first season with SG-1 fighting Apophis’ forces, discovering (and occasionally alienating) new civilizations, but still not closer to finding or curing Sha’re or Skarra. Well, we’ll get one step closer in this round of minicaps, so let’s jump into it… Continue reading

What’s there to really recap from last time? The team has learned a lot of new things about Teal’c (surprise, he killed a lot of people under Apophis’ orders) and about how Goa’ulds reproduce (basically its like normal sex, but instead of a baby, its a tub full of larvae). Let’s see where this next round of minicaps takes us… Continue reading

The team has made some interesting allies (Teal’c’s mentor, Bra’tac), some interesting reveals about each other (Teal’c left a family behind), and some interesting reveals about their universe (there’s “Ancient Ones” who may still be around. Also, Sha’re and Skarra: still not found. So with that, let’s jump in… Continue reading

Not much to recap here, except the following: the team hasn’t found Skarra, Sha’re, or run into Apophis. And outside of curing a anti-feminist society, curing themselves of a plague, and helping a society live longer than a month, they haven’t had much time for anything else. Anyhoo, let’s get to it… Continue reading

Last time, the Stargate program was brought out of mothballs to contend with the evil Apophis and his Jaffa soldiers. In comes Colonel Jack O’Neill, Captain Sam Carter, and eventually Dr. Daniel Jackson, and turncoat Jaffa soldier, Teal’c, to fight Apophis. With Apophis stealing people close to the team (Daniel’s wife, Jack’s surrogate son) and the discovery of being able to dial the Stargate to other planets in the galaxy, the team is off for adventure! So, if you’ve read the recap of the movie this show shares a name with, you know the following: we discovered a gate to another part of the galaxy, we ran into a culture of humans evolved differently than us, fought evil aliens, and killed said evil aliens. The expedition team, made up of Colonel Jack O’Neill and Dr. Daniel Jackson, had a wild time, but made friends (and in Daniel’s case, a wife) before leaving, sans Jackson. O’Neill suggested he’d come back to visit this world of Abydos, so let’s see how that return visit pans out… Continue reading

And The Next Round of TV Minicaps Goes To…

26 Nov

Stewart here…

Well, I just recently finished doing minicaps for Smallville, which I’ll admit took longer than I planned to do and ultimately finish. It was laid out as a year long job, and thanks to tons of mitigating factors out of my control, took almost a year and a half. But here I am, at the end of it, and now the question I have is: what show will I review next? Continue reading
