This is not a review. I cannot stress that enough.
I am currently incapable of writing a review of Captain America: The Winter Soldier because my brain is still processing. And squeeing. A lot of squees are happening in my brain.
So this is not a review.
What I can tell you is this- I loved Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And that actually says a lot because when I originally saw the first Captain America film… I wasn’t a fan. It was fine, but it didn’t grab me the way some of the other Marvel films had. And y’all know how much I love my Marvel movies! But when I rewatched it as preparation for The Avengers, it started to grow on me. Now it is in regular rotation. So… for me to walk out of the showing wondering if I could stand to sit through it again right away… well, that says a lot.
I do want to mention that the showing I attended was probably the most nerdtastic of the showings. Our screening was introduced by Kevin Feige, Ed Brubaker, and Anthony & Joe Russo, among others. There were many happy fanboys & girls… Seriously, it could only have been more awesome if Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, or Scarlet Johansson had been there. They weren’t. But that’s pretty much what it would’ve required to make it more exciting.
So- what is this post? I know you’re all asking that question. I’ll tell you- this is me wondering how what happened in the film, which ties into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., is going to work. We’ve all seen the most recent episode, right? Well… that ended with certain reveals. And then there’s the film… which has X, Y, and Z happen. And they all effect the show… so… how are they… what are they… I mean- huh? Holy shit!
Where do we go from here?
Sorry… didn’t mean to unleash my inner “Dawn” on you… but it’s a reasonable question. Seriously- most of the theories I have for the show are out now. I can’t make them work. And a theory that was brought up to me not too long ago, is out too- unless I completely misunderstood who a particular character is/was. But still… ugh! I’ve got nothing now.
Absolutely cannot wait for the next episode and the connection to be shown so that I can begin creating new theories for the last 5 episodes of season 1!

Sadly we (UK) are several weeks behind on SHIELD, the next ep is the first one with Sif in. Strangely we got Winter Soldier a week for the US so while I watch SHIELD for the next few eps I need to forget that Cap 2 even happened.
It’s a confusing time.
