Welcome back, Arrowheads! Damien Darhk and HIVE have been trying to lay waste to Star City this season, and have been running into delays as Team Arrow have been getting close to taking out these baddies. But with Ollie refusing to side himself or his mayoral campaign with Darhk, it looks like things are going to get harder for Ollie in and out of the mask. Continue reading

ARROW Season 4×08 recap, “Legends of Yesterday”
3 DecWelcome back, Arrowheads! If you haven’t figured it out, this is the second half of a big Arrow/Flash crossover (which you can read the first half recap on A&V Stimuli), so let’s stick to what we learned on the Flash end: Vandal Savage, an immortal hunter who has been part of the big events of human history, visited Central City to kill Cisco’s new girlfriend, Kendra. Why? As we learn from a winged man (as in a man with hawk wings) called Carter Hall, she and him are lovers who have spent thousands of years being reincarnated and killed by Savage. When Barry Allen feels the Flash isn’t enough to stop him, he seeks Team Arrow’s help. Bad news, they can’t stop Savage, and with Savage recovering a superpowered staff, it looks like things are gonna get worse.

ARROW Season 4×07 recap, “Brotherhood”
19 NovWelcome back, Arrowheads! It’s a big “Everyone’s Coming Back From The Dead Party” this season. Sara came back a while ago, and guess who came back from the dead (well, he was declared legally dead, so that counts)? Ray Palmer, who spent months playing Ant-Man. I suppose at this rate Moira Queen will rise from her grave before Tommy Merlyn does. However, we got some other things to deal with: like fighting HIVE and Diggle finding out the truth that his brother may have had a really shady past before he got killed. If there was only some way to solve Dig’s unresolved issues while tying into the Everyone’s Coming Back From The Dead Party. Hmmm… Continue reading →

ARROW Season 4×06 recap, “Lost Souls”
11 NovWelcome back, Arrowheads! To prove no one stays dead forever (unless you’re not a superhero like Moira Queen), Sara’s back and spent a bit missing her soul. Well that was easily remedied, although the same may not be said for Ray Palmer. Oh yeah, he survived that explosion at the end of season three, and needs Felicity’s help! So let’s jump in…

ARROW Season 4×05 recap, “Haunted”
5 NovWelcome back, Arrowheads! Quentin Lance really needs to take a break. Look at what he had to contend with last episode: finding out his daughter Sara’s alive (if slightly crazy), having Ollie discover his alliance with Damien Darhk, and to help redeem him, Ollie makes him a double agent to report on Darhk. It’s a good thing he hasn’t heard Sara has escaped from her basement prison in Laurel’s apartment building. Also, what’s with Ray Palmer’s hidden message to Felicity? Continue reading →

ARROW Season 4×04 recap, “Beyond Redemption”
29 Oct
Welcome back, Arrowheads! Hey, great news, everyone! Sara’s alive! Sure, she’s been dead for months and thanks to the Lazarus Pit has to be chained up to avoid her attacking everyone, but, she’s alive! Also, Oliver’s running for mayor of Star City! And Felicity has problems with her cell phone! Granted that last part doesn’t seem important, but…SARA’S ALIVE! Daddy Lance is gonna be so happy to hear this! Continue reading →

ARROW Season 4×03 recap, “Restoration”
22 Oct
Welcome back, Arrowheads! Team Arrow is facing a new enemy in HIVE, led by mystical baddie Damien Darhk, but also faces their own set of troubles, like Ollie and Diggle still being a bit guarded to each other. But there’s the big problem in Team Arrow of Thea having some murderous impulses thanks to her time in the pit. Laurel suggests taking her away for some rest, but what she doesn’t tell everyone else is she’s taking Thea to Nanda Parbat to get help from Thea’s dad. Oh, and to complete the girls’ vacation out, they dig up Sara’s corpse! It’s like Weekend at Bernie’s with super heroines! But since Sara’s corpse is being taken to be resurrected in the Lazarus Pit, its more like Weekend at Bernie’s 2…with super heroines. Sounds fun! Continue reading →

ARROW Season 4×02, “The Candidate” recap
15 Oct
Welcome back, Arrowheads! Ollie and Felicity head back to Star City after playing happy suburban couple for a while. What they’ve come back to is a reticent Diggle, a slightly vicious Thea, and a new threat in HIVE, led by the not quite human Damien Darhk. Darhk wants to lay waste to the city, and has help…in a maybe reluctant Quentin! Also in the flashback portion of our tour, Ollie gets picked up by Amanda Waller and sent on a secret mission to a familiar haunt…Lian Yu! Also, someone will be in a grave six months down the road. But let’s get to this episode, shall we? Continue reading →

ARROW Season 4×01 recap, “Green Arrow”
8 OctWelcome back from the summer, Arrowheads! As you remember from last season, Oliver Queen decided to leave town with new girlfriend Felicity and rediscover himself (and after the convoluted mess of last season, who would blame him), leaving Starling City in the capable hands of his hero buddies. Since we haven’t had a title change, how is it that Ollie ends up fighting crime once again? Continue reading →
