Shamrock Shake Shenanigans for all!
17 MarMy friend Brian, who lives in Chicago, is my fav buddy to share Shamrock Shakes (you know, from McDs?) with. For some reason, Chicago gets them much earlier in the season than Los Angeles. So he’s been torturing me with the precious minty treat since early February. They only showed up here as the months changed.
I have no reason for sharing this with you except that today is St. Patrick’s Day and I’m wishing all of you tasty Shamrock Shakes as you celebrate. And wear your green!

NerdLush celebrates… Alright fine, we just like parties.
1 FebThe one year anniversary of NerdLush is coming! On March 19th, this little site will have been trucking along for a full year! And we want to celebrate! Alright, ya caught me- we just like parties.
But it’s true, we want to celebrate with our fans and friends the success of our little site. Unfortunately… March went and filled up on us before we were able to get stuff in motion! So… we’ve got our shindig scheduled for April 6th… a few weeks late, but who cares! It’s a party. Plus, this date allows us to also celebrate the spring birthdays of some of the crew. Epic party!
We’re planning a theme this time… currently debating between two ideas- both are beholden to the imagination of the guest. So help us out and vote for one in our poll!

NerdLush Gives!
23 DecOne of the things I wanted to do with this site was be sure to give back- we get a lot of support from other nerds (in person or on the site) and I didn’t want to forget to pay it forward. We have a tiny store (which will grow as soon as I have time to update it) and for now all the proceeds go to charity. In the future, we might use some to pay for the site fees, but they aren’t much anyways so charity is still a huge goal of mine. Continue reading

1 NovIn case you haven’t already visited the page- there has been more SPAM messages added to Our Favorite SPAM. I hate to encourage the spammers but honestly, some of the comments are clever and they amuse me. There have a few of late that I almost wanted to let through… until you see the posters account (required) and it’s clearly a pile of BS- lots of cash for gold, off shore realty, and even some foreign search engines! Really? Pretty sure those aren’t our target demographics. But hey- as long as the SPAM comments stay entertaining, I’m willing to copy/paste before deleting permanently.
